The Last Word or Red Death?
RNG gifted me with The Last Word many moons ago. So many moons that It's still only a 300 weapon. But assuming for a moment that my hand cannon was at par with what Xur is selling this week, which would you choose?
Note: Lets not talk about xurning/earning here, just PVP or PVE usefulness.

Being honest you can't compare the two, in PvP if you had TLW and Red Death your stupid not to pick TLW. In PvE they're close calls, the last word is good on higher tear enemies like Knights or Captains because TLW fires so fast it stuns them. I don't have the Read Death and really don't want to get it because I already have a good Pulse Rifle in y vault that I don't use because I am a HC (hand Cannon) and SC (Scout Rifle) guy. In PvE I'd take Hand Cannons (Prefarbly FateBringer) and Scout Rifles (Mida-Multi tool and Bader CCL) well overall I would take the Last Word

1 RespuestaWell the last word seems to be only pvp focused. It think that is a lie as I use t in pve. Red death very useful for both. On an unrelated subject I killed a last word guy with my red death even when he had the element of surprise

The red death has a lower ttk in PVP if you use aggressive ballistics (no reason to use anything else) and has much lower recoil but TLW is still better because most maps in the crucible are close quarters. Red death for PVE judgement call for PVP. (i only have red death)

Depends on the map, and which part of the map you want to hold down, to be honest. Close quarters, I'd probably go with The Last Word. If you have longer sight lines, Red Death.

TLW is only good in pvp so that 300 damage a non issue. Red death has a lot more viability in pve. In pvp though they are just about even. It really depends on the map and your play style.

I literally just got both of those weapons a few hours ago! (TLW from a roc strike) So far, I like the last word better, simply because it's a hand cannon.

Red death is better for pve Both are tier 1 pvp weapons post patch I'd give a slight edge to TLW in pvp

I don't have TLW so I wouldn't know. I barely play crucible but when I do I use red death. I heard red death is also useful for CE HM.
