I used to systematically torture my sisters hamster by stabbing it with a pencil and breaking its hands...it eventually got a bunch of infections due to the open wounds and died...

That's legitimately evil.

Its quite common for a child to hurt animals and enjoy it but it normally stops in early teens. Teens tend to move on to human prey and bully people weaker than them. Then if that carrys on into late teens early adults thats when they start to kill people for fun, money etc.
