I'm going to start with saying I am NOT going to complain about any of the updates(or lack there of). The game has been out for about six months now, and I am not really complaining about anything but the lack of people who still play. If you want to complain about having nothing left to do, my advice to you would be take a break. I take a one week break every month so I don't entirely burn out the game, so if you feel like you're in that boat, just try to fire up another game with your friends and take a chill pill! Trust me, it helps!
Now that that is off my chest, onto what I wanted to post! Every player has a "Wishlist" on any game they play. Ya know, a little something to make the game a bit more fun! Personal, if you will. I have to say the Bungie community has always been my niche, with funny and innovative people alike mingling and joining together to wreak havoc! And that is exactly how the Bungie community should stay! So, here are a couple of ideas that I have to bring back that sense of community that seems to be dwindling as of late(And some update ideas as well...):
To start, a custom game option would be amazing! Every Halo game had a custom game of some sort, and everyone enjoyed the hell out of 'em! Now, before anyone mentions it, I know Destiny was designed with MMO features in mind, and is not technically classified as such. They wanted you to meet other players "In the wild" and bring a bit of a community aspect to it. But unfortunately, the little custom multiplayer matches that made Bungie stand out have all but been erased. I am not here to complain, but rather to suggest that this aspect should be added in at some point. I don't quite care when, for I have great patience, but it should be at least considered. Game types like "Supers only, gun roulette, or melee only" are just a couple that come to mind as fun little things you can do with your friends! Hell, make it to where the game type does not give you any experience to balance it out if that would be the concern! Just give us the ability to create our own custom games with our own rules, it would really make the game more fun for more players! This isn’t COD, we enjoy more than just competitive multiplayer!(No offense to the fishes)
Secondly, I stand firm with the belief that player trading should be allowed. I know a lot of people would disagree saying it would help out the "noobs" too much, and it would give less skilled players overpowered gear. Trust me, I have indeed put this into consideration, and pondered this quite a bit myself, but I think that they are missing the point of the game all together. "Have fun". Ultimately, the point of the game is to relax with some friends and have a good 'ol time! I have very little to complain about with Destiny! The gameplay is smooth, the graphics are beautiful, the community is awesome, and the looting aspect was a great addition! So why not have trading? If you're worried about a person who has not even completed the Vault Of Glass getting the Vex, then put a trading hold on the weapon that prevents the player from being able to receive the weapon through trade until they have met the trading standards for said gun(Or armor, if that happens to be the case.) This would help those who have been grinding for months to get a gun that continues to elude them. This would also add a fantastic community aspect, and would help everyone enjoy the game the way THEY want too. Just a thought.
Thirdly(I think that's a word...), add another place to patrol, and or, a new hub! I see that little reef place chillin at the top of my map screen...I know what's up...Trust me when I say the reef would be an interesting place to go! Just imagine hopping from dead ship to dead ship in low gravity, looking for old golden age treasures, just waiting in hiding...It would be awesome! Not only that, but it would break the monotony of the same four patrols/places to do missions. Also, included in this should be another hub world to adventure with your friends. Add a bunch of new vendors, a couple of new factions, and the like! She's the queen right? LET US SEE YOUR MIGHTY KINGDOM, OH POWERFUL QUEEN OF THE REEF!
Fourthly(Auto correct is not giving me the red line of disapproval, so I think this one works as well), Give us either a way to stack upgrade materials, or a way to sell 'em!(Or a bit of both...That would be awesome...) They are clogging up the inventories of players like a deep fried twinkie clogs arteries! It would not be as much of a slap to the face had you not had the ability to sell them to begin with, and gotten rid of it...So I continue to beg on my hands and knees to have mercy on my(our) poor inventories!
Fifthly(Still going), Hey, so I heard you like to force players to grind their little lives away...I have a way to help, and keep the player satisfied...BOSS DROPS! There, I said it! Nearly every game with looting involved has a rare boss drop of some sort! Hell, even make 'em into little multi-step bounties if you need to! Much like how Aethion gives the Vex, and Crota gives the Crux, why not give minor bosses their own little loot drop? Like a very rare drop of a unique blue hand cannon for killing Shrek-zilla on easy, and a legendary version for killing him on max difficulty! That would be *Blaming awesome! It would really break the monotony of boss slaying, and give you a bit more of an incentive to grind! Hell, what if you got a wrecked shell of a gun from a strike boss, and you had to go loot cashes in patrol (similar to the Super Good Advice) to get another weapon part? I'm not saying "Give us more exotics! WE REQUIRE EXOTICS!", I'm saying a handful of new legendaries would make killing strike bosses much more rewarding, and less of a drag!
Sixth(Alright, red line of disapproval said no to that one), Custom shite! Now, Halo was beyond awesome with their character customization, and so is Destiny(More so in some ways). But Destiny should have a way to increase the light level of older gear! If you want to be capable, why should you have to look like every other player? I still rock my level 31 armor, because I like to look like, well, ME! The ability to upgrade your old gear(Be it older guns or armor) would be awesome! Also, being able to make a Custom Ghost Shell would be AMAZING! We see that Ghost Shell slot...We want more than just the big-box preorder shell! If you made it to where you could customize your ghost on say, Bungie.net, not only would it promote your website, but it would give players that diversity that they desire! Make it to where the more dead ghosts you find, the more you can customize it! That would give players more of a reason to scour the wastes to find those little buggers! Being able to make a custom sparrow design for your clan would also be pretty cool!(As well as emblems, clan weapons, Ships, and the like!)
Anyway, in mercy for anyone who actually read the whole thing, I will end it here with a thank you! Thank you for reading my opinions, and taking the time out of your day! I know it was long, but what can I say? This game, like any, has some room to grow! And while you're here: Have any ideas of your own? Opinions on what I have said? Wanna boast about some b*tchin loot you got this week? Go on ahead and leave a comment! I love to hear what the community has to say!
Ps. My wishlist will be in the comments, for It will not give me the room to post them here.
With love
-Miko
Edit: Thanks to everyone for all of the comments and opinions! I have loved to hear everyone's feelings on the topics that I brought up! It would seem that player trading is quite a sensitive topic right now, and I am fascinated to say the least on how everyone feels about it! I will take notes on both sides of the coin and think of solutions to combat the problems that it may face. Anyway, thank you all, and keep being awesome! -Miko
Edit numbah two: I can't say thank you enough to all of you in the Destiny community! The comments have been flooded with some truly amazing ideas so far, and I can't even begin to fathom how grateful I am to all of you! I plan on taking note of all of the comments at the end of the week, and build a master list of all of the points mentioned, and send 'em to Bungie via the feedback thing-a-ma-jig! I know it will probably not make all that big a difference, but it's worth a shot, eh?! Anyway, thanks again to all of you! If you have any more ideas/opinions, leave 'em in the comments! Your voice shall be heard, and I shall listen! -Miko

I'm glad you liked some! Any in specific stand out to you?

Yeeeeeeee 👌👍

Destiny needs a trading system but it has to be equivalent. And by that I mean you should only be able to trade gear of equal value. Like for example a legendary for a legendary or a exotic for a exotic. That way the experienced players can get the things that have been avoiding them
-
I personally believe in the equivalent trade idea! There should be a spectrum for the higher end exotics though. As much as I hate to admit it, there are some pretty OP exotics out there, and must be traded fairly. Great point though!
-
no trades.

Can you please fix ( the unable to join target ) error asap .... resetting modem and xbox, its open nat type and still dosnt fix it and ive lost 3 hrs of my nightime gaming tonight :( I work daytime and have a kid, so please fix it asap for everyone that encounters this also
-
I feel the pain there! This happens to at least one of my friends a week, and it really makes things difficult. Thanks for bringing it up!

Good sir do you happen to have a Ethernet cable They are usually 5 dollars at your local store (If they sell one) that should fix it!

I agree on all fronts apart from player to player trading and drops for all bosses. I disagree with both these points for the same reason in that getting every exotic/legendary weapon/piece of armor would be too easy. Don't get me wrong, i personally would benefit from this being implemented as the Ghorn (among others) has evaded me and I've been playing from day one. However, if it was implemented I could, between my small collection of online buddies, trade for pretty much anything i wanted. I know a few friends with more than one Ghorn that would trade for something of mine that i have more than one of. I quite like the feeling of "will it give it to me this time??" every time i fire up a new raid/nightfall/whatever and removing that "gamble" would make the game very dull indeed. Rather than "working" for your rewards you will first consult your friends list then I'm sure someone will come up with a similar site to LFG for trading and all your effort will be funneled into finding someone with a Ghorn to trade rather than playing the game. Once you have everything in a short space of time (without actually firing a single round) what would be the point of picking up the game again until the next DLC? That, for me, would be rubbish!!
-
Very nice point. This is where I say regulations need to be in order. Preventing the trade of certain weapons and armor could combat this, but who knows! Thanks for your opinion!

This is all very well said but they are all ideas I've seen many times before but I agree with everything you say, trading especially but certain requirements should be met to make it fair on us who have put a fair amount of hours into destiny, saying this though I've read through a few comments as well, one guy said you shouldn't be eligible for vex after one hard vog run, I have 3 vex, 2 of which dropped on my very first 2 hard runs, no shit, it's rng so one hard run should make you more than eligible because nobody has "earned" anything (apart from thorn, that can be a bitch) because it's all completely random (my opinion may be different if I didn't have vex yet though, so I understand why he said that also) but I don't need 3, you also want thunderlord, I also have 3 of them, hell I'd even give you one for nothing, I think trading is a must for this game. I'd happily give a noob half my now useless ascendant shards just to help level them up and not have to put half the time into this game as I have. Don't wanna keep typing but all you're ideas are amazing especially custom games as I can't stand crucible as it is... but I've said my peice, just wanted talk about trading, "touchy subject"
-
Thanks a lot for the comment! I fully agree with your point of view on how trading would be helpful! In a completely luck based game, people can't exactly "go after" the loot they desire(Apart from exotic bounties, which are a bit random on their own). You can play the right gametypes and pray on your hands and knees for dat Jellyhorn, but unfortunately, there is no sure fire way of getting it. I understand grinding is all many people are doing at this point, and it makes me a little sad to watch. If we could get the weapons we wanted, and get the new content that we oh so desire, I feel that the game would grow a whole lot! Anyway, thanks for the comment! You bring me hope kind sir!

Really good, positive feedback and some very good suggestions. Great work, guardian.
-
Thank you very much fellow Guardian! I'm glad you enjoyed it!

I took a break, and it was the best thing I did. I saw the game for the addiction to crap repetitive crap that it is a broke free. I'll be back for HoW but that's it.
-
Everyone deserves a good long break every once and a while! Good luck in the House Of Wolves!

I just killed crota with one sword, hardmode champ!!! http://youtu.be/dQw4w9WgXcQ
-
damn. ya got me. lol.
-
Oh, you kind sir are a genius...
-
I'm intrigued that you took the time to write this all out, but credibility was lost once I read the "trading should be allowed part" so alas, I stopped. Shift the nonsensical stuff towards the bottom and then I'd say "hmm.. that is an interesting point of view."
-
Alright man, I'll keep that in mind for the future! I had no idea trading was such a sensitive topic when I wrote this! After hearing the voice of the people, I have noticed the flaws with the player trading scenario. I still personally think there can be a way to implement it without shooting the game in the foot, but finding that solution is much harder than I initially anticipated! Anyway, thanks for the feedback! Player trading was only in that one paragraph! If you would like to take the time, I would appreciate if you gave it a read! Have a nice one!
-
You too man! By the way, I actually didn't mean to sound like a dick. Had some Jack Daniels and then I looked back and went "oops..." lol
