The melee lacks its ability compared to the classes, made it's use less during the crucible for many hunters.
the melee speed is average to the Titan and Warlock, in where the Titan has the Strength, the Warlock has the Range, and Hunter should have the Speed, my suggestion is to make it quicker, or more worth while to use, and people who are going to disagree please take a look towards the titan class with it's incredible shoulder charge, and the warlock gaining a armored shield whenever they melee, and the hunter you say? backstab... which is nearly impossible to achieve. In my opinion the melee speed needs a buff to catch up with the other classes.
I hope to see this get changed soon.

Editado por Darches: 3/7/2015 7:27:31 PMThe Hunter's strengths make up for its weaknesses. Warlocks have the best melee, Hunters have the best supers... I'm not sure what Titans are good at. Gunslinger: Throwing knife is the best melee in the game, if you got skillz. Bladedancer: Blink strike is a bit underwhelming BUT Fast Twitch with Hungering Blade is excellent. I've also seen Escape Artist used well in PvP and PvE. Backstab works well with Stalker/Shadow Jack OR Inferno Crucible.

NO buffing the hunter melee would be awfull, it's good enough as is. bladedancers already can one hit KO if the jump as they blink strike( for some reason it counts as a headshot) and throwing knifes range is enough to make it good.
-
1 RespuestaAgreed. Would be nice if Bungie replaced the useless Circle Of Life perk with a more useful perk for players who play aggressively. The perk could be called "Light The Blade" and would add 2.5 second burn damage and killing an enemy with the perk causes the target to combust (Similar to the precision damage explosions) making it viable for crowd control in Pve, and valuable in PvP for the burn damage. The skill would have a cool down and would replace the Throwing knife.
-
Bump, I believe getting a headshot with a throwing knive should be a 1 shot kill or at least, the burn after the headshot should take the life of a guardian.
-
Titan has strength? Titans have the worst melee. No range and takes two hits. Hunters teleport a little with melee.
-
Not blink strike but throwing knives yes
-
Doesn't need a buff
-
Backstab is now easy to achieve in inferno. Asylum, blink up from bottom you'll catch a lot of people off guard.
-
1 RespuestaEditado por The 7th fall: 2/27/2015 7:13:45 PM+1 to this. Titans get the strength and 1 hit kill shoulder charge, Warlocks get ranged melee and overshield as Sunsinger, and Hunters get... well, extra damage from behind, or fire melee if you pick fire knives -so long as you don't throw 'em-. So yeah, Hunters need a little TLC ;). Then again, Hunters get healing melee that can recharge within seconds, or throwing knives you can set ablaze, and they'll return to you if you got juggler on and get critical kills.
-
Dude, backstabs are easy to get..... I use blink with it... Blink over and behind them and melee if you know you're close enough
-
Is it just me, or does Storm Fist do the same amount of damage as a regular melee?
-
Be invis for back stab a lot easier to do
-
4 RespuestasI dislike Hunters with a passion in PvP so no, they do not need a buff in any way!
-
3 RespuestasBlink strike under preforms a bit in PvE, but it's perfectly fine in PvP. Throwing knives are fine for both.
-
I would wanna see like a combo melee kind of like the R2 stuff with swords.
-
Shut up hunters don't need shit they are already strong
-
How about fixing the nerf to golden gun?
-
3 RespuestasIt has range. blink strike is super frustrating to deal with in pvp, if anyone needs a melee buff its titans cause they have zero range (lol, except trollder charge)
-
7 RespuestasHunter is the only class that 1 hit kills me in PVP with their backstab. If you're talking about PVE then yes their melee is not as good there. PVP tho its very very good.
-
Editado por PTG Kirk: 2/27/2015 7:05:46 PMYeah, Hunter needs something to keep up. As far as Crucible is concerned, Titans with Shoulder Charge and Defender bubbles are pretty much tailor-made to destroy all of Crucible. A whole team of 'em, dropping bubbles and orbs all game long, Shoulder Charging, Shotgunning.. Its brutal. Only counter would be Golden Gun but you're too busy being dead to collect that Super fast enough. Besides, if they have an all Titan team, they will usually have at least 2 Defender bubbles in one spot. Golden Gun isn't that strong lol Just wait until the Warlocks figure out they have a game ending strategy as well...

1 RespuestaIm a hunter and i do agree
-
I think it's in the middle. Titan has the fastest, warlock has the most range, and a hunter is in the middle. All melee damage seems the same to me.-. Two hits = you're dead.
-
Backstab is gonna be pretty good in inferno.
-
4 RespuestasI play a Hunter as well as a Lock and I disagree. Every class has its advantages and thus needs to have disadvantages. Both Hunter Supers are by far better than the supers of Locks and Titans, so Hunters having a disadvantage in Melee combat is necessary for balancing reasons. Also, the throwing knife is not weak at all.
-
3 RespuestasThrowing knife crits plus knife juggler, if you land a hand cannon shot first, it's a guaranteed kill plus instant cooldown reset. Blink strike gives you a fast, extended range, increased damage, health-restoring melee with a five second cooldown OR invisibility. They're both very powerful.
-
1 RespuestaSay what?!? Throwing Knife might be one of the best skills in the game. Or are you talking regular melee? If so, then the Titan isn't any better off, are they?
