Is anyone else upset at the ridiculous nerf to this weapon's effectiveness in pvp?
I loved using this weapon in pvp BECAUSE it wasn't op. Generally people complained about this weapon's lack of range and useful exotic perk. I developed a unique way to make it useful by combining it with my angel of light perk and hanging above people and using full auto to land two or three hits swiftly and safely securing a kill. I generally averaged at least a two or higher kd with this weapon equipped, even in ib and it was a satisfying, absolute blast.
This past update completely destroyed this weapon. The rate of fire is now laughably low, and the stability was nerfed down to the statistically WORST shotgun stability in the game. The gun's bread and butter, the full auto perk is utterly useless at this point. To top it off, they lowered the range--the very reason barely anyone uses this weapon in the first place--even further than pre-update.
I mean I know shotguns were boosted a ton in pve to the point that they may seem op, but that's the point. You have to get close to reap the reward. The risk is getting that close. So why do we have to touch guns like the fourth horseman and completely break the weapon? I just want my favorite weapon back bungie. I've never heard a suggestion to nerf the fourth horseman before so why did we do it?
Sincerely,
A broken hearted Guardian

I agree. I use to love this gun so much and when i first received it as a drop from nightfall, all i did was use it. The neffing has destroyed this gun completely. The only way to kill someone in a PVP match is to one shot them or you get lucky. Why's bungie doing this to us?

Lol just use Invective. You have a point, though.

2 RespuestasEditado por Twohothardware: 2/27/2015 7:19:32 PMThis is how it compares just to the legendary Found Verdict: https://twitter.com/Twohothardware/status/571076274023563265 There is absolutely no reason to use The 4Th Horseman ever now. It's stats don't make one ounce of sense and the Thunderer perk is no different than any other shotgun with Full Auto. They should of left it alone, the fast rate of fire at least made it unique and effective in PvP.
-
Yeah, they BUTCHERED it! Found verdict is better in almost every stat!

2 RespuestasMy friends and I have new challenges with every update. This update is all about shot guns in Pve You have to go through the entire strike, raid, missions using just your shotgun. Makes it even more interesting with the increased melee damage from Pve enemies.

C'mon bungie, I'm dying to understand this

Is this weapon bugged? Or purposefully broken?
-
1 RespuestaThey did it because of PvE.. Just played a strike (dust palace) and realised just HOW much they fugged up with shotguns in PvE. The high RoF shotguns absolutely destroy bosses. Finished the 3 psion flayers in like, a minute. Barely... This is a whole new dimension of cheese.

4 RespuestasNo other 4th horseman fans share my misery huh?

3 RespuestasI'm very well surprised that someone is using a 4th Horseman....I hated the range from before but I couldn't imagine how it is right now with the nerf.

1 RespuestaEditado por Swiftlock: 2/27/2015 8:54:42 AMMonte Carlo, Mythoclast, Necrochasm, and Hard Light also got unneeded nerfs... I know that the Vex nerf was a mistake and the high ROF auto rifles didn't get hit as hard, but the fact that this was handled so badly is laughable. Bungie just has a hardcore nerf fetish.
