Do you want Trading? Giant Poll
I tried to put up as many options as I could but the forums only allow 7 poll options. Comments are not required and I realize a lot of people don't comment so that's why I tried to make it as easy as possible to share your thoughts without commenting.
There are many options for trading, that's why there are many choices to choose from. A lot of the concerns that people have about trading can be erased with certain restrictions put on the trading system. This is trying to gauge how many really want/don't want trading and for what reasons.
Explanations:
Yes to trading, bind on equip only - Any items that you equip after receiving will be bound to your account and no longer trade able. This prevents friends from trading their level 32 gear and weapons to their level 20 friend so that he can run the raid and get his own gear. Any duplicate items that you find and would want to trade, there's no reason to equip them.
Yes to trading in fire team only - this would only allow you to trade gear to the people who were in your fire team when you received the gear. So after beating a raid, you can only trade items you received from that specific raid with the people that you beat that raid with.
Yes to trading same level items only - this is self explanatory. You can only trade exotics for exotics, legendaries for legendaries and so on. Whether only armor for armor and weapons for weapons is allowed is up for debate.
Yes to other/all trading openly - this is being able to trade openly between anybody with no restrictions, possibly including an auction house. Can also be chosen if you want a different form of trading, and will explain it in the comments.
No because of outside cash vendors - this problem I hear a lot is that people are worried about those "cash shops" (people) who farm items and try to sell the valuable items for real cash in an out-of-game deal.
No because we should earn our gear - this option is for the people who think that everybody should have the same chances at getting each piece of gear, without being able to trade any duplicate or unneeded gear with others.
No because of other reason - please explain your reason, this option can also be chosen if you just don't want trading in general for any reason.

The reason why it's illogical to set a trade system is because of the lack of items in destiny. It barely reaches 2000, trade systems are enacted on games with millions of items, because of the broader selection. Do you know how long this game is supposed to last? We have at least 2-3 more months until HoW, that's plenty of time to get every single item in the game with dedication. Want to know why BUNGIE won't give you trading? Because they wouldn't be able to stretch out their game. The game was meant to be gradually completed, many players impatiently seek everything within 1 week and don't know what a reset is. Do you like a game dictated by your dedication to get an item, or the amount of real world money you have to buy it? Because if trading were enacted, you'd see people sell items for profit, and then ANYONE could get everything instantly. You REALLY don't want this. It won't happen, it shouldn't happen. Don't get too butthurt about logic, it's there for a reason.[/quote]
