I get what your saying but one player out of more than 10+ million players is a bit much. Gamers could play for the entire game life cycle which will be 10 years, 2 hours a day, everyday and not receive a legendary/Unique weapon. That is unfair.

I see your concern and raise you one optimistic solution: As you can see in the second paragraph of my original topic, unique, or "legendary", weapons and items would be created or evolved by the players. This insures that there will be no shortage of amazing, unique weaponry. Bungie (as I've stated somewhere in this mess of replies) could also release new unique weapons every-so-often to fill in the gaps, so to speak.

That's a good solution but I was just skeptical at first because I have spent a lot of time trying to get the various legendary in Borderlands 2 and have come up short too many times. The drop-rates are too random in that game. 3 times I got a legendary after beating an enemy once other times, I'll do it 20+ times with nothing good coming out of the hours wasted.

Although I expect to see some of the "random drop" mechanic, I doubt it will be as prominent (or frustrating) as Borderlands. I think Bungie will reward players through hard work and determination rather than chance. Continue reading this thread, there are alot of interesting ideas on the acquisition of rare and unique items. And trust me, I know how you feel when it comes to Borderlands loot.

I will continue reading. Keep up the great ideas.

how about with stocks? like they only sells 40.000 assault rifle (for an example) and add the stock after a month? and also buy it with secondary currency, like token/diamond, that could work right?
