Ridiculous...so for masochists like you, majority needs to suffer? PVP is lost cause at this point without SBMM. I say remove it...Most PVE players avoid it like a plague. I am one of them. Used to play more with SBMM....no reason now to be checked by Felwinter or 120 gun from a no lifer.

Editado por pacificdune: 2/20/2021 7:45:49 PMWhy should bungie tune their pvp matchmaking for people who don’t like, or don’t play pvp? I’m 49 years old and I do fine. Play better. If I can do it you can too.
-
I like PVP as SBMM. They make me get catalysts done in PVP. Let me do them in PVE and you can play this shit fest all you want. I am 50 and play games for FUN....getting one tapped by some Felwinter/120 handcannon no lifer is not my cup of tea. I played more PVP in D1 when it was harder but rewarding. This PVP is for masochists...
-
It’s not that hard if you play smart.
-
Really? Getting one tapped by Felwinter? What’s the counter to this? Before I pull my sidearm, I am dead. I have no chance being mostly PVE player only getting my catalysts done. I do not play enough to get good and have no desire. All I want to get my PVE stuff done in PVP. Let me do it in a way that I can somewhat enjoy, aka SBMM. Rather than grind my teeth and count my kills slowly coming one at a t i m e. Where is my gun in this? This feels like mind breaking work. Sorry but I already work for a living....

Editado por pacificdune: 2/20/2021 10:30:21 PMTranslation: Bungie, please find me shitty players so I can play against them instead of the general population. Do this at the expense of everyone in the form of lag, longer matchmaking, and elimination of sense of progression for those who actually do care about pvp. That’s the definition of selfishness, just because you let a shotgun player bait you into running blindly into a room without watching your map.
-
I never experienced lag. Maybe it is your crappy internet, OK? Maybe you are selfish trying to pad your KD at the expense of regular players. You are the selfish one with crappy internet. Get that fix and stop imposing yourself on normal players. I translated for you as well.
-
Also, your lifetime k/d is 1.12, which means that SBMM will not help you at all. In fact, it will pair you against higher skill players.
-
Long term I do not blame you but Bungie who puts us against each other. Modern game should have both SBMM and CBMM. Maybe with more resources they are hiring, this game will shine. PVP can be great but at the moment it is not there yet. See you in IB even though I hate saying that I need pinacles and it will give a few. I love to hate on PVP. See you dad!
-
I was doing fine with SBMM. Trust me. My KD dropped a ton with addition of CBMM. My warlock buddy was the same...thinking he was good only to realize that he sucked in PVP. SBMM does it to you....makes you think you are good. And it was not because of lag. Lag works for you but also against you. Stasis does not help. I refuse to play cheese. I am a proud Sunbreaker.
-
I hear many people said that. My interpretation is sbmm taught you bad habits that you then need to go unlearn when playing better players. I felt some of that too, but some of my pvp friends helped me with my movement.
-
Maybe you are right. I guess I don’t play enough. I only play IB. It is time to get better I guess...I played so much more in D1...and loved it....don’t know why I stopped.
-
Good luck out there bud!
-
Nope. The last time I had lag was when there was SBMM. My KD is readily available for you to look up, not stellar, and easily attainable by anyone who cares to do so. Stay close to your teammates, watch you map, don’t forget about your abilities, use combos, and most of all, stop complaining publicly on a message board for something you can easily fix yourself.
-
I hear you. But I have no real desire to play someone who is better than me. I rather play dads like me....for fun. And my only involvement is for catalysts and some IB bounties. I had a great time playing SBMM and hovered around 1KD against people of my caliber. Now I am thrown against people with 5KD. A couple of games and it is just sickening to play this PVP. Destiny is more about PVE but Bungie insists that I have to do bounties in PVP. Not a problem I say, but let me do it at my pace and my end. I liked PVP in D1. This is a mess and the least they can do it is to provide regular folks a platform to complete their bounties, aka SBMM. So that I can say, yeah I had some fun playing for that weapon, rather say these effing no lifer PVP players. They should have two modes SBMM and CBMM. However, sweats are afraid that in the end they will be the last playing in CBMM because many many More will pick SBMM. Like me...the moment I hear is back, I will be back in PVP. Now as far as I am concerned, they can just cut it. Like they are doing it now by not upgrading new maps and all. All their effort should go strictly towards PVE where this game really shines...
-
Well you are entitled to your opinion. I’m a dad too and I find myself having a lot more fun now. Cheers!

You sound like a clown. The sandbox is majorly unbalanced, and all you say is dont run blindly into a room? What kinda shitty players do you get? No wonder youre on your high horse. You must clearly get SBMM. Sidearms and submachineguns have such a garbage time to kill they cant stop a player from 1 tapping you with a handcannon and quickdraw mapping you from 14m away. Especially considering some subs and sidearms literally onlu have 14m riskrunner maxes out at 23m with catalyst and thats also with the recoil buff. Meanwhile snipers got put in the ground for simply being -blam!-ing used. Unlike shotguns with their higher usage for the last 2 seasons. Even with cheaters bloating our sniper kills. Youre talking out of your ass. You have 0 idea what youre talking about. If bungie is going to be so lazy they wont touch the sandbox more than once an entire -blam!-ing SEASON then put in SBMM im not a fan of it, but you're a monumental jackass if you think you any basis to tell somebody to get good. The game is running like the steamiest pile of shit it has in 3 years. Youre diluted as all hell.
-
If you dislike the game so much.... Play something else. There are plenty of other 1ps games out there. Have at it!
-
Show me a first person shooter with this type of movement with PvP. There isn't one. That is literally the only reason destiny isnt dead. If there was direct competition the game would not be good. No division doesnt compare. No movement. No anthem doesnt compare, the wrong type of movement. No warframe doesnt compare. Still different movement completely and lackluster PvP. Your claim of there being other FPS isnt wrong. But destiny isnt a FPS. Thats stuff like call of duty. Destiny is a looter shooter. As simple as that. The game revolves around that. Not around shooting, unlike call of duty. Thats how you unlock near everything. Shooting. Please take the time to make sure what you comment, even makes sense or pertains to the subject at hand.

Seems like you think you need to insult me on every post to try to make your disjointed complaints seem relevant. What’s your problem dude? Mad?

Editado por DampishMids: 2/21/2021 11:20:35 AMSeems like you try to insult me by insinuating i have a lack of video game knowledge. Whats up with all you destiny shitters thinking you know best hmmm? What about you idiots making sly insults thinking youre smart? That ring a bell? Since i dont play your shitty little game of indirect insults and get right to the point, im mad? -blam!- outta here with that dipshit logic.

Reported and muted.

You both have valid arguments but the simple fact is that since an initial bump in June of 2020 when Bungie went to CBMM the crucible population has been decreasing. Average players are sick of rampant cheating and being stat farmed. The result Is many have either left PVP or the game entirely. While it is possible that adding the choice of CBMM or SBMM could split the remaining player base it is equally possible that it would bring people that have given up on crucible back. That way Bungie wouldn’t have to re-issue sunset weapons through trails or create exotic catalyst quests to force crucible participation.

My gripe with SBMM is that I feel you should be rewarded for better play with better stats, not better competition. Perhaps there should be the very high isolated from the very low, but that’s it. The other good improvement that was made recently is the solo only playlists. I find them to be more balanced. A mixture of good and bad players in every playlist.
