They don’t need to if they confirm that old armor can be made a ornament with transmog from the collection. Deleting old gear that’s there for collection sake but can’t be refitted because of random rolls would free up a ton of space for most people.

You will need 45 pieces of armor per character, that leaves 105/500 for just armor alone.

Editado por DriftedColt8917: 9/2/2020 4:03:08 PMI didn’t account for anything on the character except for one set so: 5 slots 3 sets of 3 mod slots 3 affinities 45 to cover year 2, year 3, and year 4 mod slots -5 that the character is wearing so 40 per character would be in the vault. So I was off it’s 120 and 15 pieces on the characters But I’m prolly wrong on math again, I sure at it. Fact is 500 isn’t enough. There’s no need for a cap at all.

Yeah you aren’t talking about collectors who are the only people that would have vault space problems. If your vault is full of weapons that’s a horsing problem that isn’t Bungie’s concern but consider that there are 5 raids, 3 solstice, 3 faction sets, all 5 of this years armors from shadowkeep and the seasonal stuff, 5 IB armors, 1 trials set, 1 minagery set, 3 activity sets for the core gameplay, 1 revelry set, and 7 planetary sets with five of them going away so they have to be collected. That’s 34 sets. And if you’ve got more than one character that’s 173 pieces of armor per character meaning 519 pieces of armor with a possibility of only 135 being stored on your characters. Armor collecting is the vault filler.

Did you count all the gambit sets? Feels like there's a few more in my vault..

I didn’t include them because they’re the only armor that has an actual major effect by wearing them and I was trying to count up how much armor transmog from the collection could clear up a persons vault but if prime goes away all three levels of those four armor sets would be added meaning another 180 armor pieces.

I don’t know what you’re talking about. If you only keep armor you use then your vault wouldn’t be a problem. Collecting, which a lot of people do with armor and weapons and their vaults, would be the only cause of problems. It’s why if transmog can be done through the collection all the old armor and unused armor could be deleted because you’d be able to make it into an ornament and not be loosing it if you deleted it.
