Some things, specifically weapons, absolutely need to be tuned sometimes. A shining example being how Luna’s/NF broke the Crucible until they were finally dealt with. Sometimes things over perform and need to be reigned in.

Those were not broken, not even a little. I regularly defeated NF and Luna. Unless they were wielded by a better player. Then I was defeated. The issue was simple. Players were incapable and unwilling to adapt. Players couldn't figure out how to counter. The guns were fine. The players were, and always are, the problem.
-
Whelp. If you genuinely think that, you’re not really worth arguing with.
-
Nerfherding is a serious issue. And, no, those guns were perfectly fine. So is Recluse and Randy's and. Well. ... everything else.
-
Luna’s/NF were brain dead weapons, same goes for the Recluse. Very easy and incredibly powerful perks. Luna’s/NF got what they deserved, thankfully Recluse will be too. Not nerfing things lead to the absurdly strong weapons being the sole choice for people who want to do well. And buffing everything else isn’t the answer, because that just leads to power creep.
-
Nerfing weapons leads to... laziness! My Subjunctive out performs Recluse. Is it OP? No. Because no one uses it. Recluse is OU, not OP.
-
No. NF and LH should not have killed in 3 hits for a 180. On PC it was a nightmare. Those were the only things being used and nothing could counter them (in decently high play at least, where everyone was pretty good)
-
Well, I agree they were OU. But, they are countered at different ranges easily. Lemonarque is a great lane killer. Fusions. A good auto. Well, I hardly used Lunas because I'm not great with it. But, I kill Lunas and NF users... and Im below average. So, OU... yes. OP... no.
-
They WERE OP. Now, they are just good. They made every other hand cannon pointless, and, at that time, every other primary.
-
That's just... not true. Both had counters and both could be defeated. But, so many people are so lazy.
-
But it was true. In high level play at least. If the person could aim and think, they were beyond broken. Skate a bit, ads in the air, tap-tap-tap dead. Then repeat on the next guy. It was whoever shot first then.
-
That's the key, right there. The player was already great. The gun made them better. The gun was, still is, quite good. But the gun was never OP. The combo of a great player who can wield it well with a the good gun... the combo... was really powerful. Still not OP because even that combo could be countered. But. It was the player, not the gun.
-
But it was OP, because it was literally better than everything else. A better player just amplified it. Would a gun that gave you aimbot not be OP if it required someone that already had 75% accuracy to use?
-
I used Lunas, sometimes still do. But, it doesn't make me great or improve my kda. Lunas doesn't amplify my skills. Lunas was not OP. The players that crushed people with Lunas and NF would crush others no matter what guns they use. The players are OP. The guns, OU.
-
That means nothing will ever be op in your book
-
That's pretty much true. The only gun that ever bordered on OP was Prometheous Lens during the laser wars. Even then, there were still counters and it still took a measure of skill.
-
Then you are just wrong. Do you even know what OP means?
-
...I am not the one who is wrong... I think the better question is... do you know what OP means?
-
Your Subjunctive 100% does not do better than Recluse. Master At Arms is by far one of the best perks in the game. In regards to primaries, nothing competes with it.
-
My subjunctive 100% outperforms Recluse. I know, I have both. If Subjunctive were void, I'd use it for GoS. I used to but found myself needing to break the shields faster. In PvP and PvE, Subjunctive is better. I have outlaw, reload masterwork, and Swashbuckler. It's a beast. Tap the trigger, watch em fall.
-
Oh. I see what’s going on. You’ve got Mountaintop and Recluse on. That’s all I really needed to know.
-
I do, I love mtn top. Ground my ass off for it. But. That's on my hunter which just finished GoS. I had Wendigo on as well. I was using Loaded Question for awhile. Anywho... nerfherders are the problem... not the weapon.
-
Nah. You just know what’s meta. That’s all. You and I both know that the Recluse is a best in slot weapon for energy primaries.
-
No, Subjunctive is better. It's been my go to for weeks. Before that was Loaded Question. You seem to really be stuck on Recluse. Just, use something else. Something you like and use well.
-
Subjunctive is, quite literally, not better.
-
Seriously though... it really is. Here, I'm gonna start leveling my Titan. Check the roll in like 3 minutes. It's awesome.
