Never be an early adopter of unproven technology. Basically you are paying for the privilege of being googles guinea pig.

Exactly. That's why I wait, let them 6 mos to year later, let them work out the bugs first. Being first isn't going to get me any rewards or cash for headaches.

But you're also paying for the opportunity to get in on the ground floor and enjoy the successes before anyone else. I've had a 4K TV now for 5 years...and same before 1080p TVs were considered "ready for prime time." If this had just been a case of the technology not working and not being ready? I wouldn't have been mad at all. I've backed a few losers over the years (HD-DVD, anyone??). But a customer service catastrophe on THIS scale, was never a part of my calculus. This is disgraceful. It really is. Its like Google has our money, and now is ghosting us.
