All I can say is Wow. This situation is just disgraceful. I've always known that Google is flaky, but I never imagined anything like this.
Yesterday was the Go Live day. I ordered the Founder's Edition back in June (the 18th....not day one, but pretty early). The way the system was **supposed** to work is that you'd recieve an e-mail giving you an access code after your controller's shipped.
My controller shipped on the 18th. Arrived on the afternoon of the 19th. But NO access code. We are now at hour 28 post launch.....and no code...and almost NO communication whatsoever from Google. All they've put out is a very vague statement about having "found an issue" that resulted in a "small number" of codes being sent out....out of order.
When its clear to even a blind man that the numbers of people who are sitting around with hardware that either hasnt' been shipped....or has already been recieved but cannot access the service is WAY more than a "small number".
Yet we're asked to believe that the Google cant' coordinate sendng out an e-mail to the Google account that purchased the Founder's Kit from Google Store???
Its really hard to believe at this point that this is anything other than a lie. That all of this was part of an intentionally staggered roll-out to prevent crashing the system, and taking a PR black-eye for that. But instead of owning up to that----and taking the PR black-eye for that second issue.....
....they just pretending this is a logistics snafu and taking the black eye for that.
I growing angrier by the moment. But its not the delay in getting access to play that's pissing me off. Its the utter lack of candor, and the utter lack of transparency here.
If this is Goggle's idea of customer service for a major consumer product? OMFG, this platform is doomed. Regardless of what goes on with the technology....

2 RespuestasWe all saw this coming from a mile away. It’ll be forgotten probably as quickly as the Ouya was (As if that wasn’t enough of a disaster.)

3 RespuestasNever be an early adopter of unproven technology. Basically you are paying for the privilege of being googles guinea pig.

Sounds like when the newest WWE game released and it was plagued with bugs. The PR team did exactly the same response.

2 RespuestasNot saying this is the case, but as someone who works for one of the major logistics companies, I can honestly tell you that it will blow your mind how many people, including my co-workers, have no clue what logistics even is, let alone how it is utilized........ It is really damn hard not saying what I want to say because I can get fired for talking about it.

Duck Duck Go > Google

That's what happens when you trust google, the same company that sold peoples information to the government.

Your fault for supporting this nonsense. I laugh maniacally at your misfortune.
