It's so you don't dismantle them too quickly like Enhancement Cores and Mod Components.

Rip 30 cores Rip 80 mod components Forsaken was a rough start.

I appreciate you taking the time to answer but the only protection they give against dismantling literally everything else in the game including other types of boons is a long press on the square button. (Or the equivalent for Xbox and PC) That’s it. It takes about 3 seconds (faster for shaders) Then you can dismantle another right away. So it doesn’t make sense to me that just these boosters out of everything in the game get this fifteen second timer for dismantle protection.
