You have never seen a true grind. You want a grind? Go play FFXIV and grind out a stormblood relic weapon. THEN COME BACK AND TELL ME THIS IS A LONG GRIND.

Because it's not easy mode and will just give you the gun? Because it's cool af? You want the gun, you work for it. Why the hell should they just give it to you?
