Guided games. It's literally for that. Especially if you don't have a clan or friends. Same thing for the raid. That's as far as it's going for those activities. :P try it

And you get tokens for it... and then they eventually run out... cool great concept.
-
Tokens has nothing to do with matchmaking :P even if you get tokens, you still matchmade with someone and beat at least a part of the raid. So it did it’s job
-
Ya... you only get 20 tokens to do game guided plays... so how does that mean nothing to you? Forget about those possibly? :p Jk I don’t do kissy faces I’m not into anime...
-
That’s a ridiculous excuse. Everyone knows that the “Nightfall” is nothing but a slightly more difficult version the “strike” missions ALL destiny players have run over and over. You don’t even need a “mic” to run a Nightfall anymore. Get real, and come off your high horse.
-
Right, because everything needs matchmaking because makes friends is hard, using LFG is impossible, and the build-in matchmaking isn’t casual enough. If everyone runs nightfall then there should be no problem with guided games. Get off your high horse bud
-
I tried it for a raid once. Sat, in orbit, for 50 minutes. Nothing Thought about everything I could have been doing while sitting in orbit. Turned off my Xbox and went to bed. Will NEVER touch guided games again. Thanks anyways
-
Sounds like you just got unlucky. I was able to find and complete the raid. Hardly waited at all. Even managed to make friends and get the helmet.
-
They say hour long wait times all the time...
-
First time for eater of worlds and it said 10 minutes. Didn’t even take that long.
-
Yup never even seen a nightfall for that short a wait time but congrats. You got lucky
-
Guided games sucks. It's also not pure matchmaking. It can't be all randoms. Right now everyone just uses LFG for that, which is manual matchmaking.
-
Ya youre right... people are still grouping with absolute randoms on lfg... why not just take out the middle-man and give and OPTION, you know those things that allow the player freedom and choice to do and play how they want. It’s such a hassle i don’t even play raids or nightfall’s anymore... matchmaking would be so much more efficient... and if you want, you can still be a snob and use lfg... but give the people who just want a quick match, the option instead of waiting a half hour texting randoms to join...
-
Well it’s either that or nothing. Some activities shouldn’t have matchmaking. So guided games is the best solution
-
Does it really bother you that much that other ppl want OPTIONAL matchmaking? It's optional and not forced I swear it's like you ppl don't don't know what that word means or you perform a mental gymnastic and replace the word with forced..
-
It was the super hardcore grind that made it so fun. Plus it’s a online game. You should be expected to have people to play with. Like honestly.
-
So what your saying is ppl need to be forced to play a certain way? And matchmaking has nothing do with the casual audience it's just ppl not wanting to waste 15-30 minutes on lfg sites.
-
I’m saying not everything tends to everyone. I remember back in D1 hardly anyone complained about nightfall or the raid having matchmaking. They went to LFG. It was kinda better because you got to at least pick who you wanted. Now all of a sudden it’s highly demanded o-o
-
It bothers me that the game tended too much to casuals. I have no problem but it’s honestly what made the game “flop”
-
Why does anyone think this way? what’s the difference between matchmaking and sending random invites to strangers on lfg? You still don’t know the people and half the time they lie about their level and gear... And if you really need all the help you can get, you can still use LFG. Creating matchmaking for nightfall and raids won’t stop you from making your own team in orbit...
