You’re being Nostalgic. Y1 was my favorite year too, not because it was good, because I’m a dumbass nostalgic -blam!-. Y1 was terrible.
English
-
Not nostalgia, a lot of us preferred the way the game was in year 1. TTK made me quit the game for almost a year.
-
Exactly. I know what I like in fps looters and I can still say that Year 1 was the best.
-
Yep vanilla Destiny was crap and a let down.. but we still played it.. for friendship and hope that it would be better eventually... D2 does not even come close to D1 status it just got ledge grab and less time on orbit speaking for it.. rest smells worse than ... than... (damn that's hard to match).. any suggestions?

Editado por AQME: 4/3/2018 4:41:47 AM
Y1 was terrible.
Dont agree with this Vanilla was fun, tdb a bit of a letdown content wise but HoW made everything old relevant while refreshing the game and is likely the highest point of D1
-
The highest point of D1 was and always will be the final age of triumph where everything was relevant again... and free
-
Disagree because not everything was relevant. Highest point of D1 for sure was HoW era with reforging, the amazing weapons, and the introduction of trials. TTk was great but the way they 'adjusted' weapons was awful. They made half the year 1 weapons unusable (see Praedyths timepeace for example. Replaced by grasp of malok that was basically the same gun but.. newer... so it had better 'hidden' perks)
-
Umm they brought back PTP in the age of triumph
-
It should have been, but by then most were gone or didn't care, wheras HoW was in d1s prime. I still wish AoT would have made everything from Y1 up to date including long forgotten weapons, armor and poe
-
It did do that...
-
Y1 banner Y1 poe Black hammer Against all odds Saterine rapier Y1 trials Queens weaponry There were tons of stuff left behind
-
The only weapon worth noting is Black Hammer... which was broken asf hence black spindle
-
The only weapon worth noting is Black Hammer
Not true one iota Y1 banner - timurs lash, jolders hammer, radegasts fury, efrideets spear, skorris revenge, felwinters lie, ghelons demise, peruins fire Y1 poe chain of orbeks fel, wolveslayers claw, servent of aksor, wolves leash, six dreg pride Against all odds one of the best lmgs Saterine rapier outlaw+firefly on a scout, we didn't see a version of that again till roi Y1 trials scholar, jewel, summoner, tomorrow's answer, messenger, eye of sol, exiles curse tons of solid weapons that were classics and should have come up as well Queens weaponry her benevolence? Vestian? Her mercy, courtesy, right hand, wolves bane, tons of solid weapons girl gamers especially would have loved using due to its pink skins You may not have used these, most of the community loved these items and would have been ecstatic at thier return
-
I respectfully disagree. I would like you to tell me 3 additions in HoW, that you find made it the peak of D1, only HoW, not anything that was in Vanilla or TDB.

Editado por AQME: 4/3/2018 5:21:04 AMDon't get me wrong, I loved making vog and crota and all the old gear relevant again but there is 3: Poe - each week bringing in a new boss with different mechanics, often difficult to complete as well which made it all the sweeter. Trials - definitely a game changer for destiny, the elimination game mode for exclusive rewards kept d1 at the top 10 on twitch for its entire lifetime. Weapon rerolls - No longer at the cruel hand of rng players could roll all HoW gear to thier preferred perks That aside the pvp at the time was it's biggest draw. Voidlocks and arcblades blinking around with glorious pre-nerf teleportation, sunsingers lighting everything on fire, strikers skating here and there tossing insanely powerful lightning nades, gunslinger popping 4 enemies with symbiote, people pushing with shotguns, quickscoping, firing pulses or cannons or scouts. The infamous last word, hawkmoon or thorn, messenger or red death, mida or scholar, it was just a fast paced crazy fun time for all
-
PoE, I enjoyed Skolas, but besides that most of the bosses were bullet sponges. Trials, honestly not even gonna argue with that, it was a big game changer for Destiny. Weapon Rolls, were still subjective to RNGesus, it was random every time you wanted a new roll, even though you did get a second chance. Over all these pale in comparison to TTK and AoT

AoT came far too late to be the high point, at the end of Y3 most of the community wasn't there, I loved doing vog, crota and kf again but for most there was no point and they were playing other games waiting on d2, AoT didn't add anything new aside from a book and ornaments either btw

Editado por IronGemini: 4/3/2018 4:31:08 PMThe point you have is weapon rolls, that is such a weak reason that HoW is better. TTK literally changed the whole light level system, added a meaningful end game, and so much more, so much it just gonna leave this here.

That list really isn't great. I agree with 3 things he chose. 1. New subclasses 2. Dreadnought 3. Rift and mayhem Everything else was Nathan fillian and story. As for ttk itself, it was Y2, meaning less interest and players then in D1s prime first year, I'm not debating which dlc was better, obviously a $40 massive dlc will be bigger and better then a $20 one - however era wise HoW was the highest point. Also keep in mind ttk launched with the removal of all our beloved Y1 gear (some of which we just got back with HoW) alongside many perk nerfs in favor of new ones which included exhumed, surrounded, underdog and other useless ones and perk that requires trade offs, many in the community quit then feeling thier time wasn't being respected. So while ttk was a great dlc it wasn't the highest point of d1
