Doesn't change the fact it's the cheap as fck to have a "passive" one hit kill move on a shooter.
Passive - my left tit. You can get scores of kills with this passive move.
English
-
All the perks and abilities on that side of subclass skill trees are called passive abilities. ToF isn't exactly passive either. But it's just what they're called.
-
Me and my friend used to run around on control matches seeing who could get more hate mail and shoulder barge kills..... We could easily get between 10-20 kills a match using just that ability and laugh our arses off at the mail received after. You can even glitch kill players by running in circles to charge then glitching the animation...... It's pretty beastly <
-
I never said that that wasn't possible. That wasn't what my original comment was about. I'm just saying that people need to stop comparing shoulder charge to Hunter and Warlock melee abilities.
-
True all the same - but name a melee ability that can bet more kills than shoulder charge?
-
Neither shoulder charge nor any melee ability can guarantee kills. It comes down to the player and the opponents that he/she is facing. But shoulder charge is not some end all ability. It gets countered more times than its successful. It is a shotgun with way more requirements to use and is easily defeated by simply paying attention.
-
I think Titan skating is the problem. I don't mind the shoulder charge. But why can the slowest class move faster than the fastest class? Shoulder charge shouldn't have been touched but rather the way they skate.
-
First, it's never said that Titans are supposed to be the slowest. Titans aren't tanks. It is said however that they are CQC masters and they need someway to close that gap. Second, I'm assuming you mean Hunters when you say the fastest class but here's the thing, Hunters aren't meant to be the fastest. They are meant to be the most agile which they definitely are. That's why the stat is called agility and not speed. But the real problem is the weak primaries making near to impossible to shoot and kill a skating Titan before he/she can make it to you.
-
Agility may not define speed but I haven't seen a Titan who can't play with the agility. I don't play as a Titan often but I know how to abuse the skating to outperform hunters. Same with warlocks
-
No. You can use the skating to out speed the Hunters. Skating only works in a straight line. You're basically a bull. That's not very agile. But Hunters jump allows them to basically dance circles around enemies, especially when combined with the Bones of Eao and Shadestep.
-
Skating works however you make it. Sideways backwards, you name it. Like I said I will outmaneuver any class with a Titan

Editado por ill skillz: 9/12/2016 12:53:55 AMYou still didn't answer though. No other class can run round and get melee kills without strength stats and multiple hits - shoulder charge can net 10+ kills in matches < Even warlocks who can kill across the map some days can't get consistent high scores using just a melee based move
-
Editado por TFL Washington: 9/12/2016 12:59:52 AMhttps://youtu.be/DrH5FmnCm8clink Hopefully my link works this time... Here though, watch this. It's an old video from near the end of the HoW era but the point still stands.

House of wolves? Where shot guns was the meta weapon (party c, matador/fel winter?) This also proves how broke the shoulder charge animation was and still is .......
-
Shotguns run rampant now, especially after the sniper nerf. Besides, everything can counter a shoulder charge. Titans get no extra armor, no invisibility, they can only run in a straight line, and they have to keep sprinting so they can't stop and shoot or throw a grenade.
-
Rampant would be house of wolves. Shot package and rifled barrel. Shot guns were wicked op then!
-
Rangefinder and rifled barrel is definitely a close 2nd. It's easy as hell to counter a shoulder charge with anything and definitely with the shotguns we have now.
-
No I did answer the question. Any melee can get 10+ kills in a match. It all comes down to the skill of the players and their opponents. Plus melees aren't tied to the strength stat. Melee charges are. You don't need a melee charge to kill with a melee. And a regular melee is easier to use and has less requirements than shoulder charge. That's why shoulder charge is a OHK. Because it's a high risk/high reward ability as opposed to any other melee.
-
So do a challenge for fun. Run around with any class and see how many kills you rack up with JUST melee hits. You can even go sun breaker Titan and get an instant strength charge back on each kill < Then compare that to how many you get as a shoulder charging Titan......
-
Just because it's the only class that can do that doesn't exactly make it unfair does it? There are different classes and they all have their unique strengths and weaknesses. I can get 10-15 kills with double fusion grenades and voidfang vestments. Doesn't mean that build is overpowered
-
Actually the void walker with fast grenade charge and vestments is pretty dirty....... But still - they don't have a one hit melee move that doesn't rely on stats. Including lightning grenades that are fcking beastly - a super that is almost invulnerable once activated and health regen on kill? Shoulder charge is crazy good <
-
Dude I main a Titan. Don't you think I've already done that? Watch the video I linked. If it doesn't work, because for some reason my links never work, I'll tell you the name of the video.
-
Yes it's crazy good, but not overpowered or unbeatable. Seriously I suck at pvp(my stats will testify to that) yet during the last IB I died to shoulder charge 5 times in 2 hours of gameplay on my hunter(yes I counted). It's easy enough to shut down a shoulder charge if you're paying attention.
-
That's what I'm saying. I agree with you.
