Jesus Christ. I can't believe the nerfs Gunslingers and Bladedancers received.
I played a couple of rough games this morning, just to try to get a feel for it.
It just felt terrible. The PvE buffs they received are in no way going to make up for the nerfs to Gunslingers and Bladedancers, because Nightstalkers are always going to be better for PvE. Tether and the orb creation are just too useful.
Meanwhile, Trip Mines get nerfed, Incendiary Grenades get nerfed, Skip Grenades get nerfed, and their melees get nerfed.
Are you -blam!-ing kidding me? Bladedancers already had terrible melee attacks. The only thing that made them remotely viable was an admittedly broken perk which should've been fixed in the very first patch. Throwing Knives were a last resort gimmick. Raise your hand if you've ever been one shot by an Incendiary Knife. No one? That's what I -blam!-ing thought. All three subclasses now have universally terrible grenades (Swarm grenades will always be terrible, just due to the physics of how they behave).
When Sunbreakers got (overly) nerfed, Strikers and Defenders got buffs to make up for it. Meanwhile, Hunters get straight shafted, when the only thing that arguably needed adjusting were Nightstalkers.
This is the first time in almost two years that I can't understand a nerf. I honestly think they're going to have to undo these changes, because I don't see the point of being a Gunslinger or Bladedancer anymore, especially now that Tether suppresses on hit.

They made the nerfs and buffs for "more variety" with the grenades and perks in the gunslinger and blade dancer but now force us to use nightstalker
-
Golden gun can now OHK an unstoppable striker Titan
-
Nah. But Im not a hunter, so hence I have never been salty. Pop bullets then throw knife. I do not see the rage, but then, I never expect anything, and so I am never disappointed.
-
Yeah... that pretty much sums it all up.
-
I agree the gunsinger buffs doesn't make up for the negatives Nightstalker still out preforms it in PvE.
-
Try the nighthawk with a GG damage build. Hits crazy hard. So new raid standard will probably be one singer, one defender, one nightstalker, and one nighthawk. The rest will be a mix of nighthawk and orb makers, depending on preference of burst damage vs extended damage.
-
The current raids generally favor sustained damage over burst damage, otherwise everyone would use Sleeper Simulant over Black Spindle. That's why ToM even exists. Celestial Nighthawk has always been good for the Lulz, but outside farming Omniguhl this week (which I really need to do), I don't foresee it coming into demand.
-
Honestly, if you're bad with them now. Then you're just bad at the game. They're still VERY usable.
-
Honestly, if you're bad with them now. Then you're just bad at the game. They're still VERY usable.
It's not about whether or not they're usable, it's about them being objectively worse in every way to Nightstalkers. I said it down thread, but I'll say it again. If I wanted to play a class based solely on their super, I'd be a Sunbreaker. At least they can Titan skate.
-
Not everyone plays the raid.
-
Gunslinger is still good, and so is Bladedancer. Bladedancer just has to be used with thought and not just mindless swings now.

Editado por TiiDDii: 6/15/2016 11:59:14 PMMy exact thoughts man. Beta player here, trying to adapt with no recovery on BD and it's the last straw I've had I think with these nerfs
-
Agree. Tried Both Gunslinger and Blade dancer in POE 41 to fill bounties. GunSlinger left 50% of my Trip Mines on the ground with no kills as unlike PvP cry babies, the Ads had no trouble walking around or avoiding them. The blade dancer used up its super so fast I could not even get a kill except for enemies within 30 feet. The only bright spot is that the Golden Gun is once again useful - after it was nerfed many moons ago.
-
So far, me adapting has just been, "Well, I guess I'm only a Nightstalker now."
-
"Hunters have terrible melees." Several Titans would like to shove their T-Rex arms down your throat, thank you very much.
-
Titans have better range
-
One of your melees can install kill and it will recharge instantly, another gives you armor on Hit, and another can create a ring of fire. What can we do? Throw a "1 shot" knife (sarcasm), Go invisible, or go invisible.
I know there are other melee abilities, but those are the ones I use on my hunter for PvE really.
Plus, what so you Titans expect? For your hand to fly off like a rocket and hit someone in the face? Or lunge like a horse to hit someone?
-
Instant kill? Da -blam!-. Not one of my Punches has ever OHK'd a full health Guardian. Unless you mean that one ability one subclass has that requires them to be sprinting across the map and not use their guns just so they can possibly find one enemy to OHK. Those guys suck. Instead of contributing to the team with their ranged weaponry, they're just gonna run at the enemy. Hah! -blam!-ing idiots.
-
I mean Overcharge, I've insta killed with it tons of times when it activates
-
Overcharge doesn't add damage. Discharge does. Still won't one-hit
-
Um... No. Overcharge deals only some additional damage. I've never one hit a Guardian with it unless they had less than half health.
-
Having lost melee duels with Titans even before the nerf, they already have. Titans have the fastest melee, and their melee abilities are actually semi useful. What do Bladedancers have?
-
you know there is gear for a faster melee?with the overshield a warlock could kill a titan even if he had the first hit.
-
Ok, that's neat. Thank you for telling me about gear I'm already aware of. I can't figure out why you're talking to me about Warlock melees, which are easily the best in the game, when I've been specifically talking about how shitty Bladedancer melee abilities were, and how they were all just nerfed to become extra shitty.

Editado por Darowing: 6/16/2016 3:41:54 PMso how long does a melee charge need with fast twitch? 10 seconds? do you need strength on your hunter for that? no? can you throw a grenade every 25 sec because you can ignore strength? you cant blinkstrike on a long range for the first hit and land the second hit with a fast melee perk from your gauntlets? you cant shot with an shotgun and if you are not close enough kill your enemy fast with blinkstrike? you cant blink crossmap if you know that you loose a firefight ... throw a grenade that seeks the enemy ... finish up ... or snipe ? if a titan messes up the range of his shotgun hes basicly dead ... because the melee range is the shotgun kill range all the time....
