>not dependent on individual psychology >society >humans >yeasurebro Social constructs are brought upon by years of similar attitudes. Obviously we're going to start with the idea of guy and girl because that's simply what makes sense from an evolutionary standpoint. The way I see it, you can be anything you want in your mind, either way I'm unaffected, because I'm not spending my time worrying about if people are similar to me. I know I'm good looking, wealthy, and intelligent, the people similar to me are the most successful people in the world, why should I care about all the people who are different?

  • Intelligent enough to miss the entire point, I see.

  • No, no you didn't. I'll elaborate. It is commonly stated that the way men and women think and act is purely constructed by society. That the society we are in is why men are men and women are women. This is factually incorrect. Men act, and react differently due to their genetics and hormones. The same for women. To state that it all relies on a society is rather absurd. If you'll bear with me, what is one thing that has remained the same throughout history, with men? Warriors, protectors, etc. Now, this is due to men's physiology. On average, a man is 50% stronger than the average woman. There are exceptions. This is because men are built to be stronger, and to be faster. This is not hyperbole, this is simply fact. However, I'm moving off topic here (hue). A common argument is that, Transgender people are born with a female brain in a man's body, and vice versa. This unquestionably contradicts the previous argument, as it admits that there is a such thing as a male and female brain, and that they both are significantly different. That's ultimately my point. You can not have both, as they contradict one another. I'm perfectly fine if a man wants to be a woman, so long as I'm not supposed to give them special treatment. All should have an equal start, and an equal chance in life. I simply needed to use them as an example of how modern feminism is absolutely ridiculous.

  • Is it not accurate to say humans have moved past the unsophisticated hunter/caregiver dynamic? I don't think anyone says it as a "female brain in a male's body" or vice versa, I think it's purely a distinction from the gender roles, not the sexes themselves, of which have been built through society and are not necessary. I could be wrong I guess, I don't think I've ever actually talked to a transgender person, I'm just using logical deduction to structure my opinion. Yes we have physiological differences, that's pure fact, and that's why these gender roles exist, however we don't require them to survive anymore, we did in the past. I don't see it as invalid for a female to be born with an inclination of masculinity, and thus better conform to the male gender role, and having lived through years of seeing this difference, and feeling like she had an intrinsic difference from other females, and considering herself a "he." Is there a specific gene that will play this exact scenario out? No, because that's not how psychological development works.
