Mormon Christians.
-
mountainmeadowsmassacre.com No clear recent attacks, but yes, even Mormons have a history of violence.
-
I was meaning current. I thought that's what we were talking about.
-
Oh. Then ya, Mormonism is certainly a peaceful sect as of late. But I'd argue that history still applies to the religion. Mormonism has certainly changed because of its past.
-
Oh it's past wasn't the best. But it wasn't as bad as other religions. And that massacre. It was a huge miss order. The order to not do it was on the way but it reached them too late. The church felt terrible afterward.
-
Oh sure, it wasn't as 'bad' as others. And honestly, I see your point here. I can't argue that Mormonism is violent. I mean, Mormons would rather die than kill to protect themselves. Its admirable. But we're talking about religion, not sects. Mormonism is a sect of Christianity, which does have extremist groups. Neither of us can argue against that.
-
Nope we can't deny that.
-
Welp, at least we're both understanding. Glad for a logical argument for once. Thanks man.

Anytime. Getting all salty can be fun but way annoying at the same time. I like an easy debate at times
-
the attack was a government attack, not one from the LDS church
-
Editado por curly fries: 1/15/2016 10:12:25 PMStill an attack. Mormonism has changed since then because of the massacre, and you can't tell me that not a single Mormon has ever fought to ensure his or her safety. Maybe just one planned death in the name of God. Either way, we're talking about religions. Mormonism is a sect, not a religion. And overall Christian violence exists, and Mormons are Christan.
-
Every religion has fought to defend his or herself. That is simply Human nature, and is far from something eligible to call them violent, nor enlisting in a military power.
-
My point still stands that we're talking about religions, not sects.
-
Well, the LDS' position as sect or religion depends on who you talk to...
-
According to the U.N., its a part of Mormonism, which is part of Christianity. I'm not going to argue on 'what ifs'. If the U.N. refers to LDS as part of Christianity, I consider it to be. I'm not arguing about Mormon actions at this point. Mormonism is a part of Christianity, and Christianity is at least partially violent.
-
Oh I'm sure you'll find someone out there that will twist facts to say that's not true.

Buddhism.
