I'm sure I speak on behalf of myself and the community that the recent buffs to the Solar 3.0 were a step in the right direction. However, the Solar warlock seems comparatively weak once again.
Here are some reasons why :
- The Daybreak super is very underwhelming in PVE, with the number of swords being very less and DPS not being good either. It's not really good at ad-clear or DPS keeping it in a tough spot
- There is currently only one exotic that is even remotely viable in endgame content which is Starfire Protocol. Even though Sunbracers is an option, it isn't viable in under-level content due to being one-shot and easily killed floating around in the air
Hence I would like to propose certain changes:
- Daybreak doesn't have to get the super-extension mechanic. Instead, a mechanic that buffs the damage of each subsequent sword like the Stormtrance super. Triggering ignitions on non-final blows would also make this a better super and increase its damage and ad-clear capabilities. Lastly, the cooldown should be reduced perhaps, only in PVE as the occurrence is rare with little-to-no impact in the game.
- Sunbracers, on the other hand should proc some sort of healing effect such as Restoration 1 for 5 seconds each time a grenade is thrown, or Cure 1 when its thrown. Otherwise, a damage resist of say 20% would help reduce incoming damage taken when floating in the air.
Lastly, it would be nice to have a way to use the healing grenade airborne. If any Bungie employee or staff read this, I thank you for your time, and hopefully structuring this made it easier to understand what I'm trying to say. I hope you take this into consideration.

1 ReplySunbracers with well is a viable option in ANY pve activity and usually welcomed by other players. Having said that daybreak definitely needs a buff either via exotic, or incorporate a rampage style buff to it. The more you kill, the more powerful your swords become…just as it should be.⚔️ One quick fix would be changing the fragment that grants ignition on super final blow to an ignition on every hit. You could lay into boss pretty good if you got an ignition with every sword I would think. Just my .02

1 ReplyFunny thing is the increased damage on subsequent attacks used to be Dawn Chorus thing because you would hit an enemy it would burn it and it would increase damage ramping up the more you hit them with the burn. I personally think they should give back the super extension than revert Dawn Chorus this would give it ad clear and if you used your exotic slot a decent damaging super as well
