Being Forced Into The Crucible
Hello fellow SDs
Currently doing the Invective Exotic Bounty & at the stage where I need to go into the Crucible & earn 25 points to continue. +1 point for a kill/assist, -1 point for death.
Thing is I'm not a big fan of PvP & really suck in The Crucible. Just wondering what the easier Crucible arenas are & any tips or tricks. I really just want to get this section of the bounty done so I can move on.
I have some reasonable weaponry that I thought might help:
Primary: The Last Word, Red Death, Suros Regime, Monte Carlo plus various other legendary hand cannons, scouts & pulse rifles.
Special: IceBreaker, Patience & Time. Plan C plus some decent legendary shotguns
Heavy: Various legendary rocket launchers & machine guns

Good to hear I'm not the only bad pvp player ;) invective is actually pretty easy compared to the thorn bounty, which I did in 7 hours playing control haha. For invective, the good thing is that assists count, so you can do pretty well by hanging back. Stick with teammates, stay a little behind folks but just pop a few shots with the last word, or even a fusion, and let your teammates get the kills. Sniping works well too since you don't need the headshot, pretty much focus on just getting some hits in and staying alive. Avoid camping too close to choke points, and stick to Control. Also, if you can find even just a few folks to run with it can be not only a lot easier, but waaay more fun! I'm terrible in pvp but slowly getting better, but I enjoy myself 90% of the time when I'm running with clanfolk! You'll have to run with us during the next iron banner. Easy etheric light especially when running with 6 man fireteams, just having the added communication can make up a lot for lack of skill. And it's fun! The level differences in iron banner aren't very noticeable so you don't need to be 34 with all 365 weapons to do well.
