Pre-Destiny Meetup on Xbox Live
How does a Pre-destiny meet up on xbox live sound? This Idea was brought to me by xGuerrullaBombx and has been a goal of mine. I just want to gauge the general interest. I think it's a great idea, not only does it help us get to know each other, it'll make us better prepared for some teamwork once destiny does eventually roll around. This is definitely not mandatory and I have no time and date in mind as of yet. Please comment if this is something you'd be interested in and we'll see what we can do.

Ok, how about this. We start a new forum post entitled something like Friday August 8th Pre-destiny meetup. I’ll message everyone in clan and say we’re setting up a pre-destiny meetup for Friday afternoon/evening. Members can play titanfall with each other or just talk and get to know each other. We set a semi large time window of play. We ask to post what times they are available for, with their timezones listed and if they cannot make the time window, we ask what times work for them. I am available all day Friday so I can be on whenever. If everyone posts their whole availability it gives me some wiggle room to arrange a few to meet ups with someone who might not be able to make the window. In the case of a large group being on at once, we make sure that there is always a party with some empty spots to accommodate. How does this sound?

5 RepliesTitanfall sounds good to me too. Maybe we could get split into groups based on time zone similarities? It seems like everyone is pretty spread out worldwide, which makes getting together difficult. That may also solve the limited-number-of-people-on-xbox-party-app problem. Thoughts?

1 ReplySkype might be the way to go, since we all have access to it on our Xbox's and others can use their pc if needed. 2 things though. first according to this article, we can do up to 25 people at a time, but we need someone on pc to run the show. an xbox hosted group call can only do 4 people apparently, but this is not a big deal, I or someone else can do that. The 2nd and big hurdle is that Skype does not allow us to access our xbox live friends for Skype calls, we'll need peoples actual Skype info to do it that way. Thoughts? ]

7 RepliesHey guys, I'm looking for suggestions on how we might accomplish a pre-destiny meetup. I was hoping to get more replys on the post by now, but that's ok. I have the time zones on about half the members so far and we're a sparse group. I also have everyone on my favorites list on xbox live with all the actual GTs. My first thought was a time of day, but that might be hard due to the dif time zones. My next thought was a member staying online all day (Likely me) with an open party for people to come and go as they please but that might spread people too far apart and not give many people the chance to actually converse with each other. We could set up a game to play like titanfall or something which a fair amount of members have but that would leave the others left out, even if they join the party, we may be to pre-occupied with the game for real conversations. So I'm looking for help. Any ideas, shout them out. If we can do this a few times, it might really help us in the long run come destiny time. Thanks for the help.
