How come? I've heard nothing but bad things about that gun...

I've been using it for a week now. I have finally mastered it. At first it was garbage, but I didn't give up. Now I can get 20 kills plus on crucible. In Pve it's good when it comes to minions, but not good against majors or ultras. That's when I use my secondary or heavy.
