1 ReplyThey are VERY similar

Some guy below said we don't know enough information about the two (destiny in particular) IMHO, the tipping point would be if the flood can infect the darkness. As someone else mentioned as well, the flood can infect space, the spores can survive outside of atmosphere. If the 'darkness' is actually solid like the intro videos in destiny make it look like, and therefore injectable, then the flood win. However! Looking at the situation. Ie humanity down to their last city after exploring the solar system and beyond (destiny) . Vs humanity being down to the last few colonies after having a pretty sizeable foothold on the Galaxy. (halo) it's very much a toss up who has come out worse of their respective wars...

Those who voted for the Destiny enemies haven't read any Halo lore.

10 RepliesFallen < Elites Hive < Flood Vex > Forerunner machines (sentinels) Cabal > Brutes Tied so far... Let's keep going... Dreg < grunt. Vandal > jackal Captain = Elite Servitor < Hunter Thrall > basic flood Knight = infected flood Cursed thrall < carrier flood Wizard, Ogre > flood with weapons Crota < Gravemind Vex goblin > sentinel Hobgoblin < other forerunner machines... Minotaur... No equal... Didactic > black heart Legionnaire < brute Phalanx... No equal Centurion > brute chieftain Overall, 5 for halo, 5 for Destiny (3 + 2 without equals) and then 2 ties. Still a tie. Weapons maybe? Left means Destiny enemies, right means halo. Fallen v Elites Weapons > Power = Stealth > Agility = Tech > Numbers > Lethal > Hive v Flood Weapons = Power > Stealth < Agility > Tech < Numbers < Lethal < Vex v forerunner machines Weapons < Power < Stealth > Agility < Tech < Numbers > Lethal < Cabal v Brutes Weapons = Power = Stealth = Agility > Tech = numbers = Lethal > So... 11 for Destiny, and 9 for halo. Halo wins, but it was close. Destiny won basically because there are more of them.

Enemies and allies in halo had personalities! I can't be the only one who chased down a grunt and let him live just to hear him spout nonsense about the demon

Edited by fondue: 2/9/2015 2:51:29 PMThe Covenant/Flood/Prometheans can move past doors. /thread

20 RepliesI think in a genuine battle Destiny would win. The Vex would be especially useful to decimate the flood, being machines n all.
-
The flood would destroy everything in destiny even the guardians
-
Halo wins no contest. The flood can infect any living life form and turn the Vex against the other Destiny enemies. Not to mention the Precursors and their indestructible (unless fired upon by the Halo array) neural physics.

3 RepliesEdited by MV AppJuiced: 2/12/2015 2:59:29 AMUnless atheon and crota stop eating cheese destiny would win cause crota is sought to be a god

All the Flood would have to do is infect the Vex and everything else is -blam!-ed
-
4 RepliesThe Flood/Precursors eat the Destiny universe and use the Vex's limbs as tooth picks.

21 RepliesEdited by Frederic104: 2/12/2015 12:36:48 AMHalf the people who voted likely don't even know what the covenant is. Also, the flood would probably be able to infect the vex, since the game stated that the vex is biological. allowing them to control time also. Lets do a head count UNSC Marines ODSTs Spartans Large Fleet of ships Covenant Elites jackals brutes grunts Engineers Prophets Hunters Advanced fleet of sheeps Prometheans This is where, I drop a bit off with the lore. I think there are somewhere around four species. Forerunners If they are in this fight, none of the previous would even matter. Absolutely stomp all over destiny universe x10. They are gods. Flood maybe be able to take down the destiny universe on it's own, maybe not. With any support though they'd win for sure. Vs. Cabal Psions Cabal Nothing UNSC can't handle. Vex Hobgoblin Minotaurs Hydras Harpies Cyclops Definitely the biggest threat, but the flood would be able to control them, which nullifies their time travel. Hive Wizards Acolyte Thrall Knight Ogre No advantage over any of the halo races. Fallen Captain Dreg Vandal Shank Flood would obliterate them out of existence, covenant could destroy all of their ships. Halo wins. EDIT: and forgot to mention, the gravemind. EDIT #2: also forgot even if the destiny universe began to win all it takes is some people to hop into shield world and set off a few halo rings. EDIT #3: No the gorgons could not wipe the covenant from existence in 5 seconds, they only have control in the vault of glass.

4 RepliesIn halo you have cortana. In destiny you have ghost. In halo you have flood. In destiny you have hive. In halo you have ghosts (not Peter Dinklage) in destiny you have sparrows

5 RepliesHalo should be winning be a mile. The destiny enemies have no personality, are less fun to fight and are generally more stupid. They also don't have a government or a leadership system of any kind, unlike the covenant. They do look cooler though....
-
3 RepliesIf we go by game mechanics, the halo series. If we go by lore, the vex. Nothing beats timelords but another timelord.

5 RepliesCabal bro cabal

6 RepliesThe Imperium of Man.

Solo...

Don't forget Brutes! Laso halo 3 cortana!

Edited by T Moneyzz: 2/12/2015 5:22:54 PMVex vs Flood tho also prometheans are way better enemies than vex
-
10 RepliesEdited by DanielHutchings: 2/12/2015 4:16:06 PMVex beat anything. Instant Time travel and teleporting. Can hollow a planet and turn it into a machine/part of their network in days The only thing that can apparently stop them is the traveler, and we don't even know what the -blam!- the traveler is.

4 RepliesI'm thinking if just one of the flood or covenant dies Crotas oversoul kills them all
-
The flood will destroy them all

1 ReplyI have one word, SCARAB, instand win. ;]

5 RepliesThey are technically the same enemies if you think about it. Fallen=Covenant Hive=Flood Vex=Forerunner Cabal=Brutes Guardian=Master Chief Ghost=Cortana
When I say equal, I don't mean in fights. Just how they look, I guess. Go watch the Destiny honest game trailer to know where I'm coming from.
