My vault is empty whenever I check it. How do I use it?
One other question, how do I find gun parts? I have found 2/6 but don't know how it was done.

1 ReplyHow many times a day do you fall down?

2 RepliesWhen you select a weapon and select "dismantle" the weapons will go in the vault and if you are lucky will be transformed in a much better weapon, I suggest you to do this with every exotic you got!

If you are a weapon collector you will know what the vault is for. But basically is an atm for all your characters to share stuff with. To create weapon parts dismantle a weapon and becomes weapon parts plus glimmer. The better the weapon the more parts etc, legendary weapons dismantle into energy and exotic weapons will give you and exotic shard. Not a lot of people I know of dismantle exotic weapons unless is a repeat.

It's something created by Bungie with too less space to store all your gear.

9 Repliesthis^ XD But I agree, why do people want vault space? It is useless except to store your first stranger rifle and khostov

When you open it you can put weapons, armor, and materials/consumables from your inventory into it. It's the same on all characters, so it's a way to share your items between your different characters. It also functions simply as storage space if your inventory is full. You find weapon parts by, simply, breaking other weapons. The more rare a weapon is (white -> green -> blue -> purple -> yellow) the more it drops. Higher rarity weapons also take more. You'll get them just by playing, I have over 2,500 weapon parts.

Don't enter it. You'll be in Narnia.

1 ReplyYour vault will come in handy later, when you start piling up legendary & exotic weapons - and if you have more than 1 character & want to switch items/weapons/armor between them. I didn't have much use for my vault when I only had 1 character. With 2, I use it all the time & there isn't enough room - the guys with 3 characters & a large collection of exotics - no idea how they can manage the lack of space.

I had the same problem when I first started playing. To access your Vault, hit the Start Button to view your inventory. From there, selecting a weapon (as if you wanted to swap to it) will Store it instead. Weapons Parts are given when you dismantle a weapon.

Trust me once I hit 31 and 32 my clvault filled up so fast it wasn't funny

The vault is a place where you can store your weapons, armor, etc. When you put things in the vault it can be used on any character you have created as long as you have the right requirement level and class. Weapon parts are gained once you have dismantled a weapon that you don't want. I hope that helps!

Funny how you can work a forum but not google.

Wepon parts come from breaking down weapons. So dismantle guns you wont use. The vualt is for storing things. Press start in the vualt and then pick stuff in your inventory and it'll move them.

When you're in the vault, press pause to go to your character. Then go to any item not currently equipped and hit X (on ps anyway) to put in in the vault. From your vault you can hit X to put something in your character. Your vault covers all your toons, so you can swap items between your toons by this way. To get weapons parts, you dismantle weapons of green quality or better. Usually you get 1 from greens, 2 or more from blue or purple.

When in the vault, you press the pause button to go to your inventory. There, you can store items of your choosing in your vault to switch between characters. To obtain weapon parts, you have to dismantle greem quality or higher weapons.
