I thought you guys were just being douchebags when you said your Supers took more skill to use.
I thought you Bladedancers were just lying through your teeth when you said you could be killed easily. Same goes for you, Gunslingers.
I thought you guys were just being condescending when you said the Hunter class relies more on player skill than class abilities.
I thought you guys were just salty when you said you got shafted in PvE.
Boy oh boy, how wrong I was.
The past few days, I've started to use my Hunter. And I'm starting to see why you guys say the things you do.
I took my Hunter into Crucible, to see if it really was any different. I can honestly say I was surprised.
I quickly learned I couldn't play like I do on my Titan - my grenades had half the potency, and my melee wasn't as generous. I decided that I was going to have to rely on myself and my abilities more than my class and it's abilities.
To be truthful, I think it's making me a smarter, and better player. After around 30 games of Control, I'm pretty satisfied with my performance so far. Go ahead, look for yourself!
But then came the moment. My super was ready. I was prepared to deliver a world of butthurt unto the enemy team which they would remember for years.
I activated my Arc Blade, ran around the corner, got one kill, and got shut down by a pair of shotgun wielding Titans.
That's happened more than a few times, I'm not afraid to admit. Only once so far have I had 5 kills, I'm actually averaging about 1-2 a Super.
You guys weren't joking.
I also had the chance to do a Normal run through the Vault of Glass. There I was: a level 27 Hunter heading to cripple the Vex, armed with some borrowed weapons, a half-decent grenade, and a Super that can only kill a few enemies, and drops even less orbs.
Again, you guys weren't joking.
So again, I apologize. You guys aren't lying or being condescending when you say the things you do, you're just as serious as everyone else in the room.
I know I have but a miniscule amount of play as a Hunter, so I'm certain I'll experience everything the more I use it.
P.S. - I'm sorry for choosing Bladedancer first, I had to see for myself if what you guys were saying was true.
P.P.S. - Any tips for when and how to use Arc Blade in a way that doesn't get me stomped?
TL;DR: Hunters were telling the truth this whole time, and I'm sorry for doubting them.

Edited by LJ: 2/8/2015 1:30:39 AMI play titan as my main and recently started playing hunter aswell. Let me just say PvP is extremely easier as a hunter. Kills galore with both supers. However in PvE I feel underpowered.
-
For blade dancer I find using hungering blade, fast twitch and showstopper a really effective combo, you constantly gain health back, its also pretty good in PvP for running into crowds as one kill regens your health and you can take an extra shotgun blast so long as it isn't decently placed, but yea, running bladedancer isn't as easy as everyone thinks, gunslinger is a bit easier but (for me at least) the way it forces you to play is annoying
-
It's a lot more running and gunning or holding back to stay safe. In my opinion they take more skill to use efficiently because you have to rely on your own abilities.
-
Haha my first character has been a hunter and played him 90% of my time. I have always kinda thought they were underpowered but he is fun to play. This makes me feel better about making a warlock/Titan.
-
Use the last bladedancer upgrade which refills your health every blink strike or arc blade kill
-
Well received Titan, no hard feelings. Remember to have your Arc Blade out before you go into the room, or use it's opening animation to breach it.
-
I had the opposite experience.
-
You're doing something wrong. Arc blade is by far the easiest super to use, and the most over powered in terms of potential of kills/damage output. In fact, I'd say that the Bladedancer subclass is the easiest PvP subclass to use. By far.

I love this post.no more hate post just love one another titan, warlock, hunter.judge a guardian not by the class he chooses but by the skill he possesses(and for those of you who will stalk my stats I know I'm not great at crucible)
-
Haha... Ok
-
He's not sorry!!!
Shhhhh!
-
We accept you :)
-
You've obviously never used golden gun in pvp Most OP super by far and takes the least skill
-
Lol yea hunter supers are not op at all. I always laugh when people who don't even play as a Hunter say that. We have to play a lot smarter, less reckless than other classes.
-
Damn man probs, glad you came through with the honesty
-
Bump. Finally someone who understands. #buffhunterpve
-
Thanks for the honesty. I've only used Hunter's but knew that our grendades were meh compared to the other classes as is our mele. Golden Gun does well but is only good for 3-4 at the right time and BladeDancer requires the right situation and set up as well. I enjoy my hunter class though very much.
-
Hunters aren't easy to kill unless if it comes to arc weapons for blade dancers or solar for gunslinger but you still need to use effort and yes they do do extra damage to the specific subclass.
-
The first perk that lets you regen health after an arc blade kill. But personally I prefer increasing its duration. The last perk on arc blade for invisibility helps to get close and then give the other team a world of hurt. On another note you can throw gernades when using your super. Keep that in mind.
-
so ya feeling the pain now mate
-
...Thaaannkyyooouuu! and welcome, hunter.
-
I have to dry my shirt now, it's full of tears
-
See?? I've been saying this shit all along! Thanks for speaking the truth.
-
If only my friends would understand that...."your a hunter we don't expect much", "oh you died? Typical hunter"....they'll see when we do the crota raid...they'll see
-
Thank you, so -blam!-ing much. Im following you now.

I was the same way, I made a hunter a week and a half ago and and yeah you can't do half the stuff you could with Titan, poor little hunter gets picked on and has to run away so I adapted to that play style in pve and pvp even though I'm not great at pvp I feel I'm doing betting for changing my play style and yeah if you get the arc blade right you can kill 4-5 each Tim but generally get 1-3, but you know what the hunter is the class I have the most fun with
