Verdict
A Captain may be able to defeat an Elite minor, but a fully-trained Elite major would rofl stomp.

1 ReplyI have a new story idea: Spankheili Fourplay. Thanks. :D

I'm pretty sure elites are taller.

1 ReplyEdited by Jphn_33: 2/9/2015 12:21:43 AMIt depends on the rank of the Sangheili. A low-ranked Elite might lose, but Zealot-class and Majors would roflstomp.

3 RepliesEdited by d 6d7565727465: 2/8/2015 9:36:55 PMGameplay isn't exactly canon. For example, a Spartan II can dodge automatic fire from a Plasma Rifle at point blank range. Spartan II Kelly used to take down Banshees with a Sniper by sniping the Pilot through the small hole in the cockpit. Gameplay wise, I'd say a high rank Elite would kill the Captain through strength and better weaponry. After all, a Fallen doesn't look very tough and their guns are pea shooters that shoot slow projectiles.

1 Reply#Gaming You only think the Captain would win because of level balance, which isn't how real life would work. If you've read the books, you'd know that Sangheili can kill anything that isn't a Spartan II.

Spite for the elite. Especially with an energy sword.

2 RepliesGameplay balance is not canon. In any game. We don't have any knowledge on relatively how good a Fallen Captain is. Even the lowest ranked Sangheili match a Spartan II in strength and combat capabilities. And since we know enough about Spartan II's in the background lore we can easily measure their strength and put Elites around the same spot.

4 RepliesDepends on the rank. + plasma grenades = win If elite minor I'd go for the captain But an elite swords man vs a fallen sword captain = elite
Yes I know they are sangheili
-
2 RepliesDepends Elite minor are the lowest rank of the sangheili Dregs from fallen Based on the ranks of sangheili in halo reach Dregs=minor Vandals = spec ops (Both have stealth) Captains = ultra's Ultra's have the stamina to endure 2 punches from 1 spartan 1 spartan punches the shield down to another spartan 1 halo sniper takes down the shield Means 1 spartan punch=1 sniper bullet A fallen captain from the same level as a guardian, dies at 1 shot from for instance the icebreaker Means that the ultra has double the stamina of a captain Not to forget that elites are also trained to engage combat in the front line Captains hide in the back
and elites have assasinations
