I see that a lotta people only play PVE. I just don't understand how you can willingly ignore such a huge part of the game. I'm curious as to why.
Edit: I'm really not hating. I'm just looking for different points of view. To each his own.
Game on!
Edit: Come on guys lets not start a civil war here. Weather it's PVP or PVE we are all playing the same game here.
Btw: holy crap approaching 500 responses. Haha

Because pvp is plain shit .. theres no skill in it at all. No competitiveness nd also you only get 4 marks after every match so it takes longer to get marks ... im a competitive gamer, but pvp for this game isnt even worth it.

I started off playing mostly crucible on my first character, and it just isn't a good fit for me. In other games like cod and halo I only played pvp but here. Here I absolutely love pve, strikes are mindlessly fun, raids are a blast and really help you get to know someone, relying on each other. I feel like I actually matter in pve, that I'm helping.

Its boring. Its all slayer aside from salvage.
-
I just don't enjoy PvP. I do it occasionally if I'm really bored or if I have the Bad Juju bounty or something but otherwise I generally steer clear of it. Basically it comes down to that. If it's not something I enjoy doing I don't waste my gaming time on it. The fact that I get zero drops 9 out of 10 times doesn't help either.

Wether - spelling police

Because some of us are 1) too slow reaction wise to play PvP 2) some of us play for fun not having the ultra competitive mode for the game 3) PvE is just challenging enough to make it fun without getting episode whipped in PvP
-
I don't enjoy the crucible. I also prefer co-op style game play and even the team matches in the crucible you just get a team full of people too worried to play free for all and play a "team" game but don't play as a team. Nothing better than running through the raid, turning back and giving covering fire at the thrall then popping up a blessing of light to help your buddies out IMO

It's almost like there's something people enjoy that's not PvP what a shocker eh?
-
For me PVP is useful for only 2 reasons... 1.when first starting off with a new charector, i would always grind PVP until about lvl 15 to make the story missions a breeze. 2. Exotic bounties. Every other reason to play is that im wasted and maybe ill get a drop. Other than that i see it as something that i was forced to pay extra for through PSN. Disclaimer: i know im not good at PVP and have never claimed to be. So for those reasons..... im out

Because I love playing pve

3 RepliesBecause the PVP in this game is garbage

I only play pvp and it wasn't until my friends got on that I started playing the PvE portion. Hell I hadn't even played through the whole "story" before I started just playing pvp. But I get it though, if you're not good at pvp, then it's no fun. I just wish I had the attention span for PvE sometimes, because I never do the daily stories or public events, and barely, if ever, do any of the vanguard bounties. Different strokes for different folks, and that's why destiny will continue to be successful because they appeal to both sides. But just like PvE, the pvp content is also lacking. Where the hell is CTF??
-
Pvp is boring. No custom games/maps. No CTF or other real objective gametypes. (Salvage kinda but only 3v3 and appears randomly and still get most points from kills).
-
hate run and gun. hate small maps. hate not being able to use heavies when i want.
-
Maybe it's not really about ignoring it, the word ignoring implies that the individual doesn't know much about participating in PvP and can't really make an informed opinion. probably more about avoiding it, cause they probably know what they're getting into. There are some people who legitimately can't stand PvP, I used to be one of them.
-
14 RepliesPvP... Huge? No. PvP is TINY (almost like an afterthought) Seriously, no custom game modes, only 4 actual game modes, and what, 7 maps? There's almost NOTHING there... Besides the fact that it's a completely broken explosion spam... PvP is pointless.

1 ReplyHow do some people only play PvP? I'm no slouch in PvP but personally I find it too draining. To do well you have to be on your game and focused. These days I find that doing that for prolonged periods tires me out quickly. I played Halo 2 for hours every night for a couple of years straight when I was younger. I'm burned out. I would hazard a guess that the average age of your hardcore PvP player would be considerably lower than that of your hardcore PvE player. PvE is more relaxed and more forgiving. If I don't feel like trying I'll stick on my Bad Juju and jump into Patrol. Hip-fire and infinite ammo without reloads. Couldn't get away with that in Crucible! If I'm not winning then I'm not enjoying myself. If me winning is dependent on five other guys not being shit then I'd rather stick to rewarding content that I can do on my own.

1 ReplyI find the PvP in this game boring. Lacks so many features. I also don't like all the OHKO things. Supers, shotguns, fusion rifles, heavies. Just not my thing. If I have an itch for MP ill play Battlefield.
-
Pvp sux I rather play battlfield 4 for that
-
2 RepliesUnless Destiny is your first game there is no way you can claim the PVP is anywhere near good.
-
I play both. I prefer pvp. I view the grind as a way to optimize my pvp builds.
-
If I wanted to fight players I'd play a game without so many easy win buttons
-
Crucible isn't huge for some people. For some people it's a twitchy griefing nightmare that should be avoided at all costs. For some people, the open world solo/cooperative adventure is a greater draw than being killed in 10 seconds by someone who plays 15 hours a day.
-
Well, I do enjoy PvP... Just not as much. If I have ANYTHING else to do, I won't play PvP.
-
Perspective friend i actually see crucible as a small part of the game and don't bother with it. I should do some though just for the grimore trying to hit 2700 im at 2680 after that i will go back to pretending it dosent exist.
-
Because I prefer the co op experience vs going at someone else's throat an killing them.
