how op is vex going to be with the new weapon balancing?
Tlw gets nerfed, Suros gets nerfed, thorn gets nerfed, fusions and shotty gets nerfed, vex will be a beast. Glory days are back!!!

No wonder bungie can never make this community happy, you are all idiots. You can't read a simple post that bungie published (it even had pictures) and understand what's going on. I know reading can be hard but damn. How do you people get by in day to day life?
The fusion rifle nerf is about cone fire. Vex will be unaffected because it shoots single bolts. If you read the post, this would have been a simple thing to pickup on.

Tbh i don't think it will have much effect on the "top" weapons. 2.5% and ranve nerf to AR, atm you can cross map kill people with the suro and vanquisher, they will still be beasts! And TLW with its RoF will still be amazing. I'm hoping it will finally balance out all the weapons. Good to see pulse rifles getting a long awaited buff.

1 Reply100% speculation. They posted all the general changes to classes. Just because they don't call out the vex specifically doesn't mean they won't tweak it. I have to imagine if better balance is their end goal, it would get tweaked quickly if it was a miss.

23 RepliesWow, reading comprehension is really low in this group. Are most of you non English speakers? No one said vex is getting buffed, everything else that competes with it is getting nerfed. The fusion rifle nerf is about cone fire spread. Vex does not have cone fire, therefore is unaffected. With ar getting trashed and hand cannons getting nerfed, vex will be dominant, like it should be. And you guys better check on the necrochasm, last time I checked it was classified as a pulse rifle, so a 9% buff to damage maybe incoming. (Look it up before screaming and crying)

Not at all..well in crucible anyways. Because level and weapon level damages don't count. Only its stats count

It's accuracy will be affected. It still fires in a cone, but it only fires a single bolt at a time. If you were to view any other fusion rifle in slow motion it would look similar to the vex, with the addition of charge time.

Vex will be nerfed to. Decreased range and decreased full auto accuracy / cone fire. Destiny treats the vex full auto as 1 burst thus unless you use it semi auto then it will have bad accuracy.

You are right. If the nerf on Hand Cannons is too heavy, people will just switch to Vex. I mean the people that don't just default to Autos or Shottys, and want something that has an edge over those options.

8 RepliesIf fusion rifles are getting nerfed then the Vex most likely is as well. I won't give you too much hassle over the confusion though, it's hard to think of the Vex as a fusion rifle.
