I'd like to try my hand at a scout rifle in Crucible, but the only one I've got thus far is the exotic MIDA Multi-Tool and it just feels pretty bland overall. So of the four legendary vendor scout rifles (Saterinne Rapier, Another NitC, Badger CCL and B-Line Trauma) which one would you recommend most for Crucible use?

Badger.

Try to get the badger CCL that I have! It have firefly, and a bunch of other good stuff but I don't remember what it has lol

All my Scout are from Legendary Engrams / Nightfall / etc, but I have had them all (just different perks than what the Vendors sell) I think for ones you can purchase the Saterine Rapier (Crucible Vendor) is probably best overall because it has good balance of handling, rate of fire, and impact. I also think it comes from vendor with Explosive Rounds which do help a lot in Crucible. The one I personally like the most is my Dead Orbit scout, because it has FireFly and Explosive Rounds. I mean it more broadly (not just PvP where Firefly not that important). I do think the Saterine Rapier performs best in Crucible. Note: The over penetrate on Another NITC (at least the one I have), can also be used to shoot people that run behind cover, but its not as consistent about penetrating walls as the Snipers with that perk.

i had used Cryptic Dragon quite way back, and it wasn't too bad if you kept your distance. Among the new bunch think Saterienne R isn't too bad. Its has good impact and firefly perk meaning you cap someone in a group with a HS, it pays off. Recently bought this from quartermaster but have not leveled it or run it in Crucible yet.

MIDA is excellent, boy you crazy. Badger CCL and other max Impact scout rifles have the fastest kill times, 3 headshots, but they're fairly clunky. Saterienne Rapier has excellent perks if bought from the quartermaster. B-Line Trauma handles wonderfully, love that stat block and I hope they make another legendary scout rifle like it that maybe looks a little better. Also theres the Crypt Dweller but you'll find its mostly a worse MIDA. Crusader and The Calling compare to the Rapier.

Badger -- Highest impact

I'm gaming in love with badger CCL... Stability is sick.

Sat Rapier, best of the bunch for both pvp and pve. You can try your luck w other rolls on the other guns, but if you compare the sat rapier to fatebringer, same perks and stats, just w/out the arc damage. And arc plays no role in pvp. If to can get the Fang.... That's prob the best since the VoC got relegated to 30 only duty in pve.

Badger, 3 shots to the head = kill.
-
If you have VOC I recommend using that because the auto fire is great and I've actually had some decent games using it lately
-
Badger ccl is great

Edited by RifleAvenger: 2/6/2015 5:22:31 AMGo New Monarchy and try the Crusader 1? Solid gun, good accuracy, low recoil. Honestly, MIDA is probably the most versatile scout rifle; it's one of the only ones I think can be run on the large host of close-mid range only maps in Destiny. Choose anything else and you'll need to camp one to three points on each map to get advantage over players using other primaries. One of the vendor guns has firefly, if you're willing to hope your opponents stand way to close so you can get the splash damage, but honestly when you're getting SR kills you're picking someone off, not taking on an entire group.

i like the Saterinne Rapier but thats just my opinion i havent tried the rest
