why doesn't a throwing knife to the face kill someone
In the Crucible as you may know that many things are not balancd between all characters and I'm fine with most of those things...but a accurate precise throwing knife to THE HEAD doesn't kill someone but a lousy follower grenade a warlock can just throw out of random does?...that doesn't make any sense cause this case is literally just common hit point knowledge..this is one of the things from a hunter perspective that just annoys the hell out of me...Bump if you feel the same
Plus it should reward you a kill because it takes skill to have a precise throw to a player in the head...throwing a grenade that can follow people in a little room isn't much of a skilled play..

Precision kills can give your knife back instantly. So if every precision knife killed. There would be an epidemic. Nerf the throwing knife blah blah blah.

Use your trip mine. It's basically a throwing knife. Have increased nade throw on.

4 RepliesSimple answer: because if perks are selected properly, a person can make golden gun last insanely long if throwing knifes were a OHK. Put aclophage symbiote helmet on, combustion, keyhole, over the horizon, and circle of life on, with maxed strength, and watch as you kill 3 people with one golden gun shot, throw a knife at another, extending GG duration, fire again, kill 1-2 more, run half way across map, toss another knife at someone, fire a third round for a couple more kills, run some more, toss a third knife, then finally fire the 4th round....you could be in your super for quite a while...

5 RepliesThe throwing knife has insane tracking. It will literally curve to hit somebody in the head. It doesn't behave at all like the knives in CoD. Those actually require more skill/luck than the ones in Destiny do. If precision hits with the throwing knife were one-hit kills, I would not even bother shooting my gun. You want a one-hit throwing knife? Nerf the tracking. It'll balance.

I assume you are referring to the sunsinger's sticky grenade. The reason that is fair in my opinion and ohk hunter knife isn't, is because the grenade animation in this game takes a long time, whereas the throwing knife is almost instant. It's also pretty easy to get a crit with throwing knife.

You are looking at this wrong. Grenades explode so boom you are dead. What I don't get is shoulder charge is a one shot but a throwing knife to the face which takes a lot more accuracy isn't? But hey it's bungie skill isn't actually rewarded.

If it's just a plain old knife that hunters throw thn I think it's because we wear helmets

Knife handle must be hit target instead of blade. Learn to throw.
