Why not use Bad Juju in PvP?

I've seen some videos of it post buff and it seems to perform much better than it did. I think "string of curses" looks like a very strong perk in the Crucible. I have yet to compete the bounty but I'm pretty psyched about it.

    • The impact is awfully low but the stability is great and it's basically an auto rifle because it fires so quickly. Because it's a pulse though it does 25% more damage to the head than an equivalent auto rifle. That said the string of curses perk is not that great. It doesn't add that much super energy. In pvp very rarely do you not have enough time to reload your weapon. And time between kills is too high to get use of the extra damage. I would much more recommend a weapon like oversoul edict

Low impact... It is under whelming in PVP... In a one on one, Bad Juju is just overwhelmed by so many other rare, legendary, and exotics. In a two on one, your more likely to get an assist then the kill, and assists don't count towards the perk. Have seen it used well, but this is rare, and the one time I have seen someone dominate with it it was warlock who was using it and also had the exotic helmet that recharges supper when you kill with your supper. But to be fair, the guy was wrecking everyone, had 15 more kills then anyone else in the game and a KDR ratio of 4. He could have used a wet noodle and still owned. He was just that good. If you are that good, use it. If you want to use it, practice with it and maybe you will get to the point where you dominate with it. Chances are, you will decide to use a different pulse after a few frustrating days. Three Little Words is amazing mid range and has high impact for a pulse.

      • It's actually pretty good in pvp now, I've had some great games with it...I just happen to love handcannons so I use on of those instead.

        • Bad JuJu shines in PVE, despite what haters say. This gun is a monster on Voidlocks with Obsidian Mind (I use this combo) and is a VERY underrated gun. Damage isn't as bad as everyone thinks, and it is stable as hell, so those crit shots stack up quickly, and it self buffs after the first kill. Not to shabby for PVE. I though the same thing about String of Curses, but it just doesn't translate well into Crucible. With Suros Regime, Vex Mythoclast, Hawkmoon, The Last Word and Thorn running rampant in Crucible, JuJu just can't compete. Crucible is all about killing in the fewest amount of shots, because each encounter ends VERY quickly. Bad JuJu is NOT a gun that excels at that. Most of your targets will end up killing you first, or you just get an assist, which doesn't trigger SoC. Get it for PVE because it wrecks there, but get something else for Crucible.

          • It still struggles to kill a player in one mag in PvP, meaning that it's perk is rarely useful. Great PvE weapon, but the fact it's a pulse-rifle kind-of means you're shooting yourself in the foot

            • It's only meant to clean up low level mobs.

            • I have it maxed out and I enjoy the gun, I find more useful in pve then pvp. But if you got good aim and can keep precision headshots in pvp. You should have np keeping that mag full and never reloading.

            • Well in pvp I tend to try and kill my opponents, thus I usually stick to hawkmoon, thorn, or on occasion suros. String of curses is only good if you can win the 1v1, which bad juju can't.

              • i haven't run a lot with juju because i don't main my warlock but the string of curses IS amazing. i was able to take on 4 guardians by myself because i didn't have to reload. i ended up going 20-1 on that game.
