This is different than a hair trigger. A hair trigger means you don't need to use a full trigger pull for the gun to fire.
A match trigger fires as fast as you can pull the trigger. I miss these, as they were in Borderlands (Jakobs) and CoD (Gewehr & SVT-40).
Let's introduce a 'match trigger' scout rifle Bungie!
EDIT: The B-line Trauma has a high ROF, but is not a match trigger. There is a ROF cap on it.

24 RepliesEdited by Ragamuffin: 2/4/2015 6:08:49 PMIt's to keep people from using modded controllers. They don't want people like you using them.
-
uh... no. any gun person knows a hair trigger has nothign do with how far you pull the trigger, but the amount of pressure it takes for the trigger to "break"
-
6 Repliesi know what your talking about but MIDA is where its at it has everything your talking about
-
In cod with the 5-7 I could shoot amazingly fast. Destinys limited :(
-
2 RepliesThey have one, its called the BLine Trauma http://www.destinydb.com/items/3711153070-b-line-trauma

2 RepliesEdited by Mike-MF-Hall: 2/5/2015 1:59:07 AMThis reminds me of how much hate mail i used to get in black ops 2 for my FAL People always thought I had an aim bot and a modded controller. I don't even know where to get that stuff. On topic, i would like for therr to be a high skill high reward weapon somewhere in Destiny. All the guns are low skill high reward, or high skill low reward, or low skill low reward. The closest you get is the 2 headshot hand cannons, but even then you can still spam the trigger and just get 3-4 body shots, and there is a ton of aim assist on those headshots.
-
People at that point would just use modded controllers even more. All of the primary weapon types will be obsolete compared to the shear power. They won't do it.
-
4 RepliesThis would not work unfortunately because if you and another person had this scout rifle maxed the one who pulled the trigger the fastest would have an un-fair advantage
-
I would like one. You can get a very fast trigger pull from the pulse rifle Coiled Hiss.
-
Would only be balanced with low aim assist/high recoil... But I don't like the ROF limit.
-
Bump! That would be an amazing exotic! I would also love to see a hand cannon one!
-
Modded controllers everywhere
-
3 Repliesagree with you on this. i was levelling a new character and picked up a common scout rifle labelled as semi automatic which fires as fast as you can pull the trigger - was thinking this woul be awesome if the rating was more than 80 lol

Edited by Afawafa: 2/5/2015 12:42:29 AMI think only shotguns would be fine with a match trigger. They mostly one shot you at close range anyway, and the range between needing several shots to kill and dealing next to no damage is pretty small. Would be a fantastic advantage in pve though, letting you decimate charging minotaurs or Knights. In fact, 4th Horseman should be a match trigger shotgun.

4 RepliesDon't forget the MK14 from MW3... Cos that thing had match trigger AND was a 2-hit kill...
-
1 ReplyModded controllers would make these a nightmare in pvp lol

3 RepliesI loved Jakob's shotguns and hand cannons
and yes they were indeed cannons
-
Don't those type of guns get macrod the shit out of?
-
I love match trigger semi's favourite style of gun. I was dissapointed when they didn't have them.

3 RepliesI'm pretty sure Bungie is well aware of all the modded controllers and other such devices out there that people would use along side a match trigger giving them a far greater rate of fire than intended.
-
It should be like a brother exotic with MIDA MULTI TOOL, like THE MIDA EVOLUTIONARY RIFLE or something.
-
Over powered. No way.

4 RepliesWhen I got MIDA, that's what I thought it was going to be.. Would be awesome for them to change that.
