who is going to bother with the HoW regrind?
Im at a stage where the thought of having to rebuy, reupgrade exotic armour and weapons all over a gain a bit daunting, ive got about a month to level up my raid weapons, then new raid comes out, then new weapons higher attack level, waste of a month.
I currently have a warlock maxed out, a titan at 31 which im not interested playing with because I refuse to farm for green engram's to get plasteel plating, so thats a put off.
I have a hunter now purely for pvp, pve is getting to slow to level up and the grind isnt worth it, the game moves to quickly, by the time everything is leveled up, it time to move forward again.
also redoing story mode for each character is also a massive pain, you do not need to, but you will not unlock all planets or missions if you do not. Also having to redo erises quest for a useless armour piece and to unlock dlc ive paid for is annoying.
A bit of a whine, but I think the grind is to heavy with not enough reward, considering the game moves forward so quickly.
TL;DR redoing story for each character to unlock levels suck, redoing erises quest to unlock dlc sucks, 1 months with raid hard primaries before new dlc is to short, breaking down legendery armour pieces should give more upgrade material..eg 100 plasteel plating, not 2, i cant upgrade my titan, and im not farming green engrams,
im might quit pve after this dlc and move to pvp entirely.
Question is I guess, are you guys happy to reupgrade all over again so soon?
EDIT: HoW could be release in may, if so, better. Exotics will need a lot less grinding to upgrade according to some, hope this is true.
I still dont like redoing story mode for each character, and also armour materials are pointless and should be banished to the dungeons of hell, or increased amount dropped when breaking down armour.

Already bought it, you need to think about this for comet, expect less from DLC content and more from actual expansions.

3 RepliesBye Destiny, After The Dark Below I hoped the grind would end, but the grind is real and will be the main component of this game. I have better things to do with my time then spend countless hours hoping for a exotic drop (which never happens).

2 RepliesSo far no other game out can match raiding with 5 other players. I love jumping on destiny and picking up a game. Nightfall, weekly, VOG, and Crota. I have maxed out most of my guns and am working on another set of armor. (Crota Voidwalker - intelligence and sunsinger - discipline). Cod was too repetitive, dying light is too jumping, and DA fun but boring after an hour. Bungie's idea of releveling exotics was a bust. Their own staff hated it. I bet they just add to the upgrade tree, like most of use suggested prior to CE DLC. No other fps is an pretty or diverse as destiny.

We are going to have to re-grind no matter what. But this time I'm going to be prepared. 150+ marks on each character, max glimmer, and have my vanguard/cryptarch rep just below the next level. If Bungie pulls any more bull shit...I should be prepared. Last time they caught us with our pants down.

Truthfully by now ppl should not be trying to have 3 different characters... Meaning by now u should know what type of character u need to be for all around and a character you just have fun with. Y'all ova working ya self. 2 same characters to level gear and weapons coins,have one vanguard and another a different one. Anything else is just for fun and pvp :) Stop ova working to be everything at once "pointless"

Raid gear gets special perks related to the raid they're obtained from (anti oracles anti vex) maybe it's time crucible grade gear receive the same treatment? Increase flag capture speed in crucible or increase revive speed in revive enabled playlists. And for the love of god, with the inferno playlist [i]please[/i] bring in a ranked system. The name Crucible is too boss not to have some measure of ranking us in guardian to guardian combat. There needs to be better differentiation

25 materials per upgrade is not bad at all. You can buy engrams from the dude, or simply run like 5 roc strikes and have enough crap to lvl a couple upgrades. As far as the dlc goes supposedly the regrind is being taken out. I personally felt all the new players were gifted free crap with the crota dlc and the older players screwed over for all their hard work. In either case, I currently run 1 of each gun now and transfer between characters. There is no point in having 2 or so icebreakers or any other gun now. Lvl it once and be done, and if I have to relvl it again, well then it's a one time deal (for that dlc upgrade) instead of 3 times per gun.

Getting those upgrade materials (plating) is literally the easiest thing to get. Go on patrol and do one of the patrol bounties that day. Easily get 20-30 greens on your titan.

I pre purchased so I will play my 3 30's through the story and try the strikes, that's about it! A couple of weeks entertainment until I move on again.
