I never wanted to use the weapon. Even now my mind flits back to the days of yonder, where people would say, 'No G-horn, no entry.' I was in one such team. With my Exotic slot taken by the rocket launcher I equipped Khvostov as my primary. I had been using No Land Beyond as it could oneshot Dregs, but the moment I equipped the rifle... Something changed. It felt old, but fired true. Perhaps it was waiting for me. We had Time's Vengeance. The shield glitched after our second combined Ghorn volley. I saw everything was about to collapse, and pulled the trigger of the battered gun. They say legends are formed in the heat of battle, by true heroes. But I... I was only trying to buy us some time. The power of all the greats... Saint-14, Kabr, Pahanin, Dregden Yor, Shin Malphur, Jaren Ward, Toland, Crux and Lomar... They could only dream of such a thing. Atheon roared denial as the round struck, carving through his stomach and scattering the glass of his body across the floor. My Fireteam looked at me. I didn't mean to say anything immortal, anything important. But I opened my mouth and said;
git gud skrub
• The Continued Memoirs of Captain N'keln Ghost Fragment: Khvostov 4 After my daring escape from the Tower, I saw the error of my ways. I had killed a guardian, and had created a hole in the City's defences. These facts sat like bricks in my chest - weighing me down with the darkness of my actions. I would do one more thing before setting aside the weapon, for someone greater than me, less susceptible to having power corrupt them. I thought out what could possibly redeem my soul from performing such dark acts. I had heard of Crota's return. I was confident, and that was enough. I flew to the Hellmouth in a stolen ship, and landed it on a plateau where a heavy pressure plate was. Stepping on it and sacrificing yet more of my Light to force the plate to activate, I made clear my descent into the abyss. I sprinted through the darkness, making sure to gather as much Light as possible from the lamps - but their light was cold, unfeeling. I ignored their creeping sensation as I crushed Thrall beneath my bulk, shoved Knights into barbed pits, slid past Cursed Thralls. I made it to the plate and waited for the hordes to approach. And when they were within arm's distance, I smashed my fists into the floor, a rolling wave of greenish light coming from my Fist of Havoc. I shot down an Ogre with my trusty weapon, ichor bursting from its swollen head and mutated bone shattering. I turned and ran across the newly-formed bridge. I found some armour, fashioned from Hive. Donning it without a thought for my wellbeing, I fought down Swordbearer, Gatekeeper, Wizard and Ogre with my Khvostov, continuing on and massacring my way through the Thrallway. I faced the Deathsinger and eliminated her cronies, and summoned Crota. And at that moment, my old Fireteam arrived. With the same purpose as me;
To kill.
• In all seriousness, you should add this to the Destiny-Lore section. I burst out laughing at work at "git gud skrub" and all my employees looked at me.

 • The Continued Memoirs of Captain N'keln Ghost Fragment: Khvostov 3 I had scaled the tower without incident. With the help of my backup primary, I was able to suppress any threats, aiming not to kill, but stall. I had loaded it with stun rounds. The Traveller hung low in the sky and I could feel its omnipotent force on my armour, judging me. Was I worthy? I pulled myself up and onto the rooftop plateau. I searched the night for threats, and found none. There was only one Guardian - a Hunter, snoring gently, his arm holding No Land Beyond to his chest. I smiled. He had good taste in weaponry. I snuck along the tower and opened the Vaults. Where would it be?! I scrolled along the holographic display, trying to think, then: Login: The_Speaker Password: What was it? Then, I was struck by an idea. Login: The_Speaker Password: Morevaultspace,DeeJ I pressed enter, and to my amazement, it worked! There it was: the dark metal frame, the cracked scope... I retrieved it and equipped it, getting the feel for it in my hands again. Then- "Put the gun down, N'keln." The guy with No Land Beyond had stood, the red glare of his iron sights shattering my vision. "You first," I hissed. "I've come all this way." "Come all this way to die." I moved first. My rounds chopped through the still air, and vanished into his armour. He screamed and dropped his weapon, light consuming him. His visor shattered and a great ray of light poured from it - his chest plate buckled and erupted in radiance. I ran. I leapt from the top of the tower and slid down the panes of glass, shattering them beneath my bulk. I was going to make it, I thought.

 • The Continued Memoirs of Captain N'keln Ghost Fragment: Khvostov 1 It had been years since I had returned to the tower. My Fireteam had betrayed me. They had claimed to the Speaker that the Khvostov's power must have come from the Darkness itself, and showed him recordings captured by their Ghosts of the confrontation between me and Atheon. They turned their weapons on me, and I saw no choice but to return fire. I was standing at the apex of the Vault, they were on the staircase below, and rounds split the air between. One such round struck me. I knew where it had come from - our rookie Hunter's pride and joy, the rifle he called Susanne. I ignored the biting pain, calling to them to stop, please - but more rounds hammered my body. Fatebringer. A Hardlight peppered my armour with searing holes. A shotgun blast stove in my armour and knocked me off my feet. My old friend skittered from my hand. I could not cry out. Blood rose in my throat - it leaked from my armour. My old Fireteam Leader, a no-nonsense Titan, bent over to pick it up. "We should take this to the Speaker, as evidence." He looked at me, prone and dying on the rock. "Let him bleed." It was worse because no-one argued. I didn't die there. They phased to Orbit. My loyal Ghost repaired my armour and healed my wounds to the best of its ability, and I thanked it. I made it onto one knee, and looked about the Vault. The weapon was not a part of the Darkness. No, it was what would save us from it. I had to get it back. Weeks I spent, out in the wastes of Venus, the acrid air invading my senses, waiting for a chance to return to Earth. I saw my chance when a Fallen craft was unloading passengers and hijacked it - making my way to Earth, and hopefully the Khvostov. If I didn't, all could be lost.

 • The Continued Memoirs of Captain N'keln Ghost Fragment: Khvostov 2 I leapt clear of the skiff slightly too early. My armour took the brunt of the impact, but there would be consequences. Consequences I could deal with later, I thought as I drew my backup primary. I stalked through the ruins of Old Russia, searching out a way to the City. I was sprung upon by scavengers along the way, and by the time I reached the Cosmodrome I had three hundred new notches in my rifle and three stab wounds. I peered out from a cliff at the walls of the City. My hands became fists, my stance became straighter. I was fighting for good. But to win this fight, for the Light to prevail, we needed to understand that weapon. Not fear it, not dismantle it, Traveller forbid, but understand it. And I kept moving. Four days of travel led me to the City's gates. The problem was, these were gates. Gates I could not go through, being a fugitive. But perhaps something else could. Pointed towards the gate, on the rise that I was laying on due to it usefully hiding me from the gatekeepers, was a Golden Age train line. I followed it back until I found a train car on the tracks. I knew what I was going to do wouldn't get me very much of a reprieve, but it would get me in. I forced all of my strength against this cart, slowly but surely pushing it to the gates, stopping thirty meters away from the edge of the rise. I chose my armour to spec into strength, it reducing the lactic acid formed in my muscles from exertion and applying supplements where needed. Then, bringing all the Light I had as a Titan, I hefted the train cart up and over my head. Groaning under the weight I had but one purpose. Break the Gate. I threw the cart, and all hell broke loose. But it didn't matter, I thought, as I stepped over the two Gatekeepers who I had sniped in the confusion. I was in.

 • Do you see this Bungie? This true legend has more story and depth than all of destiny. Tell your story boarders to take note of this elegant magnificence.

 • Glad you enjoy cheesing Atheon with the Khostov 7G-02. Maybe with these people cheesing Atheon with it, it will be brought to Bungies attention.

 • Afraid of a simple little old rifle huh! If you was a real man you would use it too, but you obviously can't handle the power.

 • That isn't op, it is fair. The reasoning behind that is if Atheon can one hit you then for you to truly become legend then you have to 1 sot Atheon. Just ask Captain Nkeln! He will confirm this truth.
