If you're saying Hardlight is a good weapon, you're a noob.
Do I even need to explain this one?! Every one with a decent understandig for the game knows why. And no it's not situational either. Why do I have to go through all this "Hardlight Master Race" posts?! Are you just stupid or is this some kind of joke? I get that it's pretty, but that's it.
Edit 1: Lol okay I have to leave now, but seriously, if you take it into a raid and I have to explain to you why it's bad, you must have some kind of brain damage. Also love the noobs with the: "lol you just suck with it posts", thanks for proving how ignorant you are.
Edit 2: Came for another round today since you guys keep it trending. A lot of comments are hilarious I have to say that. So today I wanted to give a little explanation, because a lot of people don't seem to get it and claim all the same stuff again and again. So here we go.
1. Hardlight is an auto rifle. Auto rifles are bad for pve compared to hand cannons or scouts. The high rate of fire / low impact makes it even worse, you really should know that by know guys. There really is no opinion here.
2. Let's talk about pvp. The main perk "volatile light" is for people who can't hit their target. The better option than shooting a wall would be to actually aim for the head, same goes for pve. (really can't believe I have to say this). Some of you claim it's good for cqc. No it's not. It's outgun by the vex, last word or any low rate of fire / hight impact auto rifle.
3. No it's not the best weapon for the first CE encounter. Right answer in one word: Fatebringer | secret edit: Ice Breaker, Mida users are welcome as well ;) Actually I don't give a -blam!- about what you use for the first part.

Edit 4: No it's not really an opinion. Is No Land Beyond a good pve weapon? No real opinion there either. You saying it's good won't make it better.

I hardly use my hardlight(don't play PvP often) but when I do use it, its a tank! High rate of fire tears through enemies if you're accurate!

2 RepliesMaybe someone else has a game style different than your's. Maybe someone else figured how to make it work for them better than you did. I don't prefer low impact weapons but the high rate can be good in some cases. Just some mature food for thought. Not everyone plays the way you do.

Just because you are bad with a gun doesn't mean it's a bad gun, a sniper is actually the best gun for headshots and damage, but people use shotgun or fusion rifle, you should use whatever you're good with, be it auto rifle or pulse rifle or what ever the -blam!- rifle.

I think Hardlight is ok in pvp. But only ok if you have nothing better. Sometimes it is fun to just run around spraying lasers at folks.

16 RepliesI think if your skill in a raid is dependent upon what everyone else is using, with the exception of rocket launchers, than I believe it's you that is bad, not the weapon. I've beaten Crota on hard with someone who used a rare hand cannon called heaven can wait, and he pulled his own weight and survived. Hard light, atheons epilogue, red death, no land beyond. If they are good with it, know what they are doing, aren't causing wipe after wipe, and can do what they need to do, then who cares what weapon they use. We have weapon choices in the game for a reason. I am a fatebringer an word of Crota fan all the way, but I'm not going to try an force others to play the way I play. If someone uses fatebringer an sucks with handcannons or his hearts not in it, then he's better off using hard light instead. An the fact you don't see that is why you are having issues.

2 RepliesI barely even use it, i ended up running it my first hard run because i used it for lamps and had a marvellous time. I just think that anyone who wants to tell someone how they can and cant complete something is a -blam!-ing tard. So ya youre weapon choice might work better, but it does not make you a noob to weight train.

15 RepliesThank you, autos do not belong in pve, unless it's a suros or other high impact auto, and even then its outclassed by, as u said, HC and Scouts. I got hardlight a long time ago, and it really does suck balls. The exotic perk Is useless. Tools that use it are either doing it for fun or because they don't have too many other weapons to choose from. Anyways I agree, atop using that weapon and actually use a weapon that helps the team you selfish -blam!-ing players, -blam!- your opinion. Same people saying it's an opinion are the same idiots who shoot rockets at atheon while their team is trying to snipe, or shoot snipers at crota instead of the boomers, or kill the last k ight in the glass room when we're waiting to use supers on them, point is put your pride to the side and accept the -blam!-ing truth.
