How likely is it to get an exotic engram drop?
If you dont know what they are then I will tell you. Engram drops are items that drop from enemies when you kill them. There are five different types of engrams; Common, uncommon, rare, legendary and exotic. Also I don't know if they are real.

2 RepliesI had an exotic helmet engram drop shortly after I hit level 20 for the first time a week or so after release. That's the only time I ever saw it happen. Of course it turned into helm of inmost light and I was a hunter.

I got the exotic Chuck Norris "Beard Fist" helm for my titan from one. It dropped when I head butted a thrall on Mars.....

3 RepliesI got a few from the new HoW mission quests. Nothing special from them really. I did get the 347 Vesta Dynasty scout rifle from one, but it isn't really good so I sharded it and ascended Dragon's Breath instead.

Only place to get a exotic engraved is from xur or you can. Go to Venus witch if you are in the section were the vault of glass entrance is jump to the top kill every thing and repeat kill every thing as they spawn in and it has a .2% drop radios during the day And a 1.5% I'd it's at night

They were only in the alpha and maybe beta, but are not in the game anymore ( other than xur )

Doesn't exist. No exotic engrams drop. People sometimes see the green engrams in the wrong light, and they look gold/yellowish. Of course you can get an exotic from a legendary engram, but you can't get an exotic engram to drop

People will say they drop. When they do drop its just a green Engram that is affected by the lighting in the game. The only current way to get them is from Xur on the weekend when he has them in stock.

1 ReplyExotic Engrams are extremely rare. Appox. 2 months after the game was out I believe, they had only dropped on 2 occasions. They are beyond rare, hence their exotic title. easiest way to get them? Xur.
