My wife has her own ps4, we play destiny together and have since launch and she's experienced 0 sexism. None Her name is clearly female, as is her character, and she hasn't had anything done/said that was sexist in any way shape or form. Don't really understand the point of this thread. The forum might display sexism, but only because its the internet and everyone is an asshole just like every other forum. In fact, people seem to kiss her ass in destiny.

No offence but the people that say these things are kids, there's no way an adult would even be bothered insulting random people. Except for me because I'm extremely immature Kids have no logic man, they don't understand the gravity of what they say. I don't think somebody calling gamer girls hot is sexist. Boys will be boys and if you act like you didn't look at girls with all your hormones raging at that age then you is a liar my friend. If they were asking for nudes or something maybe I'd feel different but I didn't see the post ur talking about. Seems like a petty thing to subjugate as sexism when we have real issues in actual real life where women are mistreated on a daily basis. If you think calling a female hot is sexist you are ridiculous. And I'm a father too so I have your point of view I just don't see what you see in those words.

Shoot stuff and make your intentions clear. I agree that it isn't very nice, It won't stop, but then you have a big handy MUTE or BLOCK USER button to play with. Cant change how people act but you can choose who you can interact with

I treat everyone I play with with respect and have fun, I also like a bit of banter which obviously you seem to take offence to. Your thread is aimed at guys mainly, that in itself is sexist, we don't need you preaching on how to behave.

I'm with you as far as treating others with dignity. Until the illusion of internet anonymity goes away, you will continue to see abysmal behavior. It's also frustrating when respondents would rather nitpick or counter with tangential arguments then actually consider the bigger picture. I don't think the IT guy spilled his Coke on the server racks yet

Most of the time if a woman gets a cat call, shes wearing booty-shorts and spaghetti strings, was it necessary to dress like that no, but they did have a right to do that. Men are taught to be stronger than women (though we are equal) like your dad telling you to never hit a girl, but many men will flirt with women because they are taught these things from birth. this isn't a societal issue, it is us as humans and how we display are sexuality. And also: its a video game with teens that are willing to -blam!- anything that moves in a 4 mile radius, what do yuo expect. You don't hear 30 yrs old flirting with gamer girls.
