Honestly, unless Halo 4 is amazingly awesome, I can't see any reason to recommend the 720 to anyone. PS3 has action adventure on a lock, it has better fighters, it has exclusive shooters, and now it has smash brothers, the only thing really keeping Nintendo in the race in my eyes.

Well if your talking about the current gen then Nintendo has already won... All time sales Sony has been number 1 since the PS2 came out. I don't think a PS version of smash bros will make people fly towards a Sony console. [Edited on 04.27.2012 12:28 PM PDT]
