Crota hard: Drops and Strategies
What was your Crota strategy? Did you get a clutch kill? Also, what were your rewards?
The Crota strategy we had was have two titans PPP a bubble on the ledge the Swordbearer uses to get on the platform, so that he will get a super faster. Then, I ran back up to the middle ledge while the other Titan took out the boomers. After the two rounds were complete, we went back inside and waited for Crota to move back to middle. This time, when we came back out, we did not pop any bubbles, everyone except the person on boomer duty and the swordbearer went to the ledge. We took him out in 2 swords, and skipped ogres. Multiple times the sword kept disappearing, and all times we almost killed him.

3 RepliesI noticed some friends were only carrying 5 in a crota run today and so dropped in to see if I could run with them. When I got in, crota was kneeling and got finished within 3 minutes of my join. (Didn't even get to voice chat yet.) Was rewarded with hawk moon and the raid helmet. Felt a little guilty afterwards but guess the Destiny gods were feeling generous. Thank you to the fireteam who did all the leg work and I hope you were well rewarded!

1 ReplyBeat him twice today, got the word of crota both times, everyone went front glass and one Titan dropped bubble on right side to draw boomer fire then we had hunter running sword with blink strike for invisibility, second run sword bearer was warlock and same strategy just warlock runs to right pillar instead of blink strike, both runs were very easy and got them on first/second attempt as everyone had good rockets and synth

3 RepliesKilled him while he was going for the final enrage, like my team didn't have to down him again. Also one shot it today on our first try with a bunch of little kids who always spam me with invites and bs.

4 RepliesFirst run, we got lucky because our titans didn't have supers in the start and we didn't lose anyone. First use of the first sword, our hunter swung one extra and went invisible at the last second. Using the mid ledge strategy and distracting the boomers with a Titan bubble granted us a victory. I finally got glowhoo and ended up getting another helmet that I soon dismantled. Shout out to the guy who got a Crux and didn't even have Eris to level 2 in our group.

18 times so far. I love running sword so I do it for the entertainment.

4 finishes, center strategy. On our first completion, our sworbearers controller died as enrage hit. Plugged it in barely quick enough for last couple hits lol.

~Signed We use the middle balcony and waited for him to be mid, met right ogre in his spawn and nuked, sniped left from right, went back, rinsed and repeated until dead. We had no need for orb healing since we no one took any critical damage, but were prepared to do so. My loadout : Gunslinger Hunter Fatebringer Ice Breaker Hunger of Crota I was a damage filler to keep his shields down and picked off boomers in between, I fired 1 rocket per shield burn and pulled out Fatebringer with explosive rounds to make sure it stayed down.

Edited by Yajuu Omoi: 2/1/2015 2:31:27 AMI got glowhoo and the scout rifle. Loadout: The Culling 331 Icebreaker 331 Hunger of Crota 331 Voidwalker with Light Beyond Nemesis Strat: Center ledge, right ogre spawn. Only went back inside once to clear out thrall after ogres.

8 Replies1. Equip red death suros or helmet to regen health 2. Everyone on center ledge directly outtside window (boomers cant hit you) 3. Drop swordbearer asap hunter goes down grabs it jumps on rock on the left 4.go invisible and jump up 5. Crota goes down...3 swings then blink him to turn invisible. Fireteam takes him down with rockets..get 3 more hits and bail 6. For ogres we split 3 under right boomer tower above the ogre door and 3 in the left tower (people onnleft use specials to create orbs for the last sword. 7. Drop swordbearer and crota once crota moves to center. 8. Hunter goes and gets sword then orbs then goes invisible and jumps up. 3 hits to enrage (on 15 smash)..then blink strike 2 more hits and a special...crotas dead

Once did crota got the word of crota on our 3rd try could have done it in 1st or 2nd but when he got enraged thralls over runned us before we could get him down
