Are Warlocks ONLY Being Used for Self Resurrect?
Well, it has appeared to me (through personal group compositions*) that people are just making warlocks to Self-Res in Nightfalls, Hard Raid modes.. Crucible..? (Haha). Does anyone else feel the same way?
[b]Whilst it [i]is[/i] bloody useful..[/b] I just think that they could be used in better ways. What do you guys think?
*(2 of my friends made warlocks AFTER other classes just to self-resurrect. One was a hunter, the other, a titan. Now, my group will generally consist of 3-4 warlocks, a titan and whichever class I'm playing..)

1 ReplyI like to self rez in Crucible just because it pisses people off. But in most PvE I go Voidwalker, Obsidian Mind, Bad Juju to become a bomb dropping, orb shitting beast.

My Sunsinger is constructed for survivability; I'm no use if I'm dead. Although I rarely die in raids (with exception to wipes), I find having self res useful for those rare occasions when a supplicant's self-destruct kills me at an abnormally long range. As for the Crucible, my build focuses on discipline and strength. Because I rarely use radiance, I just use fireborn to occasionally catch my killer off guard.

I normally play with the extra defense perk for my Warlock, it's a lot more imo. That being said, when I run through a NF I'd be a fool not to turn fireborn on. I don't die often, but shit happens, why restart the activity?

only in nightfalls and lamps do I use self res. any otger time I switch between tge two classes and usually never equip self res (unless I forget to change).

Warlock was my first character simply because I like space magic lol but self res deff helps in a lot of situations

I actually prefer voidwalker. But for nightfall and hard raids I use sunsinger. The exception to this is at the crota checkpoint on hard. I use voidwalker to generate orbs and help kill sword bearer/ogres. If you die trying to kill crota it's a wipe 9/10 times anyway so there's no point to using sunsinger

I've been using void walker because obsidian mind is the best exotic ever. I use my super more then my grenade.

I only use self resurrection during nightfalls and most bits of the hard raid nowadays just in case. I know the strike and raid encounters well enough to optimize for max damage output as a Sunsinger without using the Jesus button as a crutch. Radiant skin is a lifesaver, especially against Crota and wearing apotheosis veil. I also run Voidwalker for fun in a lot of scenarios. Then again, I've been playing a warlock since day one and have more time and experience put in than the kids rolling one just for a self resurrection.

Nope. Voidwalker with Obsidian Mind and Juju. So it's a Nova Bomb party with double Axion Bolts.

I only use my self res for nightfall and raids nowadays... otherwise I'm trying to get better as a voidwalker

While I agree the self res is a crutch, I would have to say it is irreplaceable for a nightfall. Its saved me countless times from going to orbit

I made my warlock just so I could push off the Templar (which you can no longer do) but the day after I made him they patched it

Honestly I only use Self Res in hard mode raids and for soloing nightfalls. Other than that I like to use the ability that allows nearby allies' cooldowns to be much faster. In Crucible I prefer voidwalker.

I use voidwalker, I can keep myself alive and can wreck with mini explosions, helps with ogre too if he is continuously damaged he doesn't attack

I use self ressurect for my team only. No Rambo runs for this warlock. Its too valuable to waste on a suicide run
