I mean instead of calling new players those things why don't you help them out and show them the way? Yes I'm a Xmas noob.
Edit: I'm actually lucky enough to get help from my friends. But from my experience there seems to be a wall you hit right around level 25-28. Where you run into the problem of not being able to get better gears because you can't run raids and the harder weekly and nightfall. Just because you can buy armor to get to 31 you still need to grind for 3-4 weeks for marks. And then you run into the problem of not having shards, but cant get enough shards cause you can't run vog. -_-"

We'll help you guys out, but we're still going to call you guys kinderguardians. No hate, it's all fun and games :)

Edited by Average: 2/1/2015 5:54:48 AMthis is a followup to your edit. You will hit a wall at around 25 to 26, as blues cap you out at 26. It is not a 3-4 week wall though, especially if you snag a piece of armor from xur. You can also just complete the dlc questline easily in a day and get some 33 light gauntlets. That would be half your armor right there. You can get your rep level to 2 in two days. Then you can buy a 3rd piece of armor. You will then have to wait an additional week to buy your last piece, but you might get lucky and get one from the cryptarch package or vanguard package. So it basically takes two weeks. You can run the vog on normal at 26 no problem. You will get a bunch of materials at least during that. You can also make another of the same class and do everything twice for a much faster return

3 Repliesi think as long as the noob says they are a noob, and doesn't try to act like a no-it-all it's cool. I just hate when there's a 31 who just got the game and therefore got carried through the raid a few times and now they feel like they're going to "give advice" or run things. As long as there's some spirit of humility it's all good.

It helps if said noobs bother to use their resources to get answers to painfully easy questions.

Yes I'm a Xmas noob.
So your opinion is biased then.

2 RepliesBecause when a level 3 with a Grimmoire score of 60 invites me I assume it's to carry him through the heroic story. What else can they do beside Crucible? Well, I'm not much for Crucible and I've beat the story more times than I want to count. Also, you will never know the bugs we played through, the promises of buffs to guns that literally came right before all the KinderGuardians joined. Bungie and Activision waited to fix the game, a lot of us have been playing since launch, until you guys showed up. Sorry about your luck dude.

1 ReplyBecause sometimes when I'm trying to help Xmas Noobs...it's like teaching Japanese to a rock

Join a clan Tom. People who have come to mine don't ever come back to the forums for help! We accept anyone and are always helping other people with anything they need! The ranks of the wicked invites you to join them-- True Hellfire [HELL] is a tight knit clan of epic guardians!! Add me if you're on PSN names the same!

1 ReplyEdited by Barbatos: 1/31/2015 11:38:23 PMNothing against new players and I'm willing to help. The only things I can't stand is when a new player doesn't acknowledge their status or turns into an elite asshat after reaching high level. I had to deal with this over the month with a few xmas noobs. Taught them the game's mechanics, gave them some pointers, did weekly/nightfall when they asked (practically carried them), once they reach 31-32 they turned into douchebags.
-
Who is mean to new players? Personally, I haven't seen one person reject, insult or mock a new player. Kinderguardian isn't really an insult, it just means you are new to the game, that's about it.
-
3 RepliesI'll take a Xmas noob over a squeaker any day. But god have mercy if it is both.
-
2 RepliesBecause some people actually feel superior for having three more months worth of "knowledge" than the other guy.
last time I heard the word scrub was in middle school and even then it was at least a year of seniority.
Even Bungie said we should call "Xmas Noobs" Kinderguardians. You cannot argue. Without them you wouldn't be here now.
-
4 RepliesIt's worse when you aren't even a Xmas noob and you stop playing for a month then people start calling you an Xmas noob
-
fr dont know why they hate on the new players that helps spread the reputation of this game. lead them not push them lol

1 ReplyThere's also vids on youtube etc. We had to learn on our own too. I'll still help people but gosh it's like some can't listen...

1 ReplyEdited by chris mk44: 1/31/2015 9:51:48 PMI really don't think that Kinderguardian is a derogatory term. It seems more like an endearing term to me than anything.

1 ReplyHA Xmas pleb

When I use kinderguardian I don't mean it as an insult just that you're the next gen

No hate, just gonna call you guys what you are.
