What is Destiny lacking, in one or two words?

Top three I think we're seeing;
-VAULT STORAGE
-STORY/DEPTH
-GAME MODES. Especially PvP.
There's no reason that we cant all communicate with each other.. in tower, crucible, pve..
Dying light - periodically you can do competitions with your friends. Race to certain areas or objectives , kill certain amount of enemies first, loot X amount of chest or items first, etc.
Please give us reasons to patrol again

Game Modes / Sandbox type feeling. If we could take our ships and fly them from planet to planet while encountering hive, fallen, etc. ships on the way then I would not be getting the burnt out feeling I am currently encountering. It's too dry

And if I were to add a third, it would be that feeling of wonder, and happiness when you boot up the game that you arw going to have a great time exploring and building your legend that day. But nope I just get on because it's the best game I have currently, and I hope more for the future
