Why do americans treat their troops as if they are some kind of super heros? they do a job, they get paid.
I have yet to read a reply here that ~I would consider reasonable, it all seems like blind patriotism. Why don't I see threads thanking nurses and doctors, teachers etc people that actually better the lives of others, thank them instead of thanking people whose sole purpose is to kill and destroy.

And while holding only 12% of the US population it contains 33% of American welfare recipients. Pick a better example of a blue state government because I doubt many people will say that California isn't a drain on the federal government if they knew the facts. Oh, and if you can't put that together that means your economy is being boosted by federal tax money coming in from other states not the other way around.

Nah, we are doing a lot better now in CA. You might be able go feel it a little in your check from our tax dollars.
