Every single person I talk to is just spent. Sick of the pointless grind...sick of the time suck...sick of crota glitches...sick of running the same damn stories and strikes hundreds of times.
I have seen a 50% drop off over the last 2 weeks and everyone says the same thing...not enough content ...too much grinding...too many glitches.
I know the desticles will come out in full force with their "good the game will get better when all you scrubs quit" well have fun with your dust bunnies and crickets while everyone else gets back to gaming for fun.
Edit. I never expected so many replies...crazy good guys...also so surprising that it was only a couple (that I've read so far ) giving me shit.
I never once said I didn't get my money's worth nor that I now dislike the game ..just simply what's stated here.
Edit 2. The 50% number and everyone is relating to my friends list (which I assumed was obvious as I can't talk to every guardian in the world)
Edit 3. Wow! So many replies and actually alot of agreement. Most people seem to be in the same boat as me...we absolutely love this game, we just want it to be the best game it can be. We are definitely in need of some new crucible modes...like swat...and a Co op firefight mode would be amazing
Edit 4. Title changed to a question because that's really what my intention was. I saw a trend among my friends (I know that's a small sample size ) and I was curious if it was widespread after talking with employees at 3 of my local gamestops who said they've seen an influx of destiny returns this week.
Thanks for all the replies. It seems most of us love the game and just want it to be even better than it is.
WOW! Nearly 800 people feeling that same fatigue.
Notably most of us love this game and really hope for some more meaty content with next DLC...I bet almost all of us here just want that!
Any guardians (ps4 of course) looking to just do weekly, NF, And raid with occasional bounties...let's get a "burned out" group together that just plays a few hours a week! PSN. Stone25
Over 1000! Holy shit...so obviously it's not just my friends...this is pretty widespread it seems. Maybe Bungie will do something now, because talking to them didn't work...if this really is that common, bungie already knows without reading in these forums.
IGN just posted a video today asking "is it time to take a break from destiny"....yep, it's not just my friends

Edited by iDANglin: 2/1/2015 9:31:48 PMExpect biased feedback and opinions on a game's forum (considering most people on a forum play the game still) Edit: Never after reading some replies most are agreeing with the OP! That's sad Bungie, real sad... Hope you enjoyed your holidays off because you have some serious work to do.

Yah most of my friends list has moved on....... I wonder what the real numbers are
-
I`m burnt. Kinda tired of BS glitches and cheese. I need me some long john silvers.
-
7 Repliesnext dlc will ONLY have 3 exotic armor (per class) and ONLY 2 exotic weapons. And probly one hard raid exotic just like vex and nec. That's pretty damn disappointing. Considering all the vendor weapons will be same skin different name and re rolled perks. Raid gear will be same just different fallen look. This game is lazy. Shot out to the environment guys only thing good in this game is the vistas.
-
I'm done playing until I hear how they will handle upgrading in HOW. If it's a massive reset again, I'm just gonna delete the game. Too much time wasted for such little rewards.
-
Edited by DevGEM: 2/1/2015 9:02:11 PMI've literally run out of things to do in the game. Once I get the Vex Mythoclast, a few grimoire cards, and the Crux of Crota, I'm done. I've completed it all, and there won't be anything more to do until the second expansion arrives. So, yeah. I've hit a wall, and I'm moving on to other games for now.
-
I have been playing destiny pretty much everyday since release. Then the dark below happened and I completely agree with everything op just said. At least vog was/still is fun. Screw Crota and screw the lazy re-skinned vog rewards, that, bare in mind - all suck. At least the old raid rewards felt/looked powerful and worth my time to collect.

1 ReplyI still like the game, but the lack of decent rewards is wearing on me. Ranking up needs to be rewarded with a weapon or armor, not a shard or mote of light. Succeeding in a strike or nightfall, is frustrating when the reward doesn't come close to matching the effort. Especially when I'm attempting the strike without a Vex, Gallahorn, Thorn, Fatebringer, etc., which of course makes it a bit more difficult. I know there are plenty of players out there better than me, but it would be nice to be able to use some of these rare, or exotic weapons instead of just hearing about how great they are. All of us would eventually like to experience using those exotics that others are enjoying the heck out of. Oh, and the be patient, it will happen argument is ridiculous. There is no guarantee. Some of the people that have these desired exotics don't want all of us to have it. If I'm just playing PvE because that's what I prefer, how is it going to hurt you? On the contrary, during an event, for example, it will only help. Again, still like the game, but just another player frustrated with the random reward system.

Edited by TrAB418: 2/1/2015 8:03:55 PMYep. Same bounties. Same strikes. Same raids. Same missions. Same ships. Same sparrows. Same weapons. This week is just really hit me that this game was kind of boring. I'm mindlessly playing in hopes of getting the new weapon or the next cool ship. But then I get them and I'm like...okay? Ship is just reskinned and this weapon sucks compared to my VoC. What now?

Edited by xKnottzx: 2/1/2015 8:43:16 PMThe last 3 weeks i basically log in on tuesday to do nightfalls and raids then log in friday to check zur.... Thats about it. I even deleted my hunter and made another titan because i was tired of grinding 3 classes... Just cant do it anymore

Sick of red bars in PvP
-
I know the feeling. Really have no reason to get on outside of Nightfall, and raids once a week, which I usually burn through on reset day with 3 characters.
-
I love Destiny to death and have had a lot of fun with it. That said, I do feel a bit burnt out from it. That's kinda what happens when you play a game almost every day since launch. So I'll just be taking a short break from it. In the meantime I'll be playing Pokémon oras
-
I probably will only play casually till HoW, have a 32 of each class every CE raid weapon maxed and every exotic except ghorn. No point really
-
I'm burnt. Tired of doing the same exact same shit over and over without even knowing if I'm going to get what I want. This game is in dire need of more content.
-
i still have some grind left in me
-
I feel ya, although I don't believe bungie will implement the things that would save this game... It doesn't even really need to be "more content" just different game modes and such. Like you said, swat, and I'd personally love a horde mode, similar to mass effect with 10 waves of increasingly difficult mobs with objective waves every 2-3 rounds and an extraction at the end. They'd last longer than strike and be more rewarding to do. And they can use the same maps and areas already in the game!

THIS!!!! BUMP BUMP BUMP

Edited by Astraea Eos: 2/1/2015 7:52:19 PMMaybe if the base game had come with 4 raids, 12 strikes (as I'm not really a PvP player someone else can give that a number), and two different patrol zones per planet (on all platforms; and then Sony still has it's additional timed ones on top) - then I guess the burnout might not be at the level it currently is. But, as someone who's not played an MMO or similar game type, then what I consider to be grind burnout may not be for them. IMO the base game needed more content.
-
I'm on x1 and I feel the but, and I don't regret not playing Prolly may get on for reset days but I won't play play again till how Prolly

I love Destiny a lot. For a year straight I was just "Destiny! Destiny!! DESTINY!!!" I did two presentations on Destiny at my schools Gamers Club, did two awesome pieces of fan art Pointalism drawings, and even went so far as to buy the Collector's Edition because, well, it just seemed so worth it. However I feel as though I didn't get my money's worth. I was promised a thrilling and exciting story. I was promised a living interactive world. I was promised a world I would want to go back to every day and experience something new each time. But that wasn't what I got. The game is still fun to play, it's very addictive, super fun to play with friends and hilarious when exploiting fun glitches and the like. But there's not enough. After a while of playing Destiny I just get a headache because I have to do Winter's Run or Rockets McDickface countless times in a row to buy a gun or armor piece that costs more than the weekly amount of Vanguard or Crucible marks permitted by the game. I want to explore Freehold. I want to explore Old Chicago. I want to go out in the Wild, not in a limited area where there's only empty buildings and the same types of enemies over and over and over. I want the Destiny I was promised, not the one I got. I would be fine if they Delayed the game a year or two to perfect it. Hell, that's why BioShock: Infinite was so good; they delayed it 3 years to get it right, and it was a great game. At the end of it all I have one thing to ask Bungie: Will you do better in the next game? For the sake of the series and the fans' interests?
-
My xbox live ran out so I could only do patrol, bounties and the story. I switched to the master chief collection, I only remembered about destiny when it was sat next to titanfall
-
Yup def starting to feel burned out. Crota hm was cool at first now its just lame. Nothing else to strive for.
-
Love the game but just started the crew finding having a break pretty good actually but I will be on for weekly reset and maybe raid a couple of times
-
2 RepliesI'm done until house of wolves. I won't even do the weekly reset stuff anymore After I stopped for two days I realized how much time I wasted on the endless grind Dying light is fun
-
I've enjoyed the game but for some reasons I literally just stopped playing like 4 days ago. I didn't even slowly stop playing, I just stopped. And the worst thing is, I don't miss it. I've put so many hours into this game and I finally feel bored. Honestly, I want to keep playing but now that I can get all my characters to lvl 32 and have all the weapons I really want, what's the point of nightfalls and raids? I want to come back because I feel empty since I have nothing else to really sink my time into (besides work and school lol). I'm sure I'll be back after a few weeks but as of right now I am pretty content with moving on. Hopefully Destiny will do something amazing that will bring a lot of guardians back
