Is Destiny burnout running rampant?
Every single person I talk to is just spent. Sick of the pointless grind...sick of the time suck...sick of crota glitches...sick of running the same damn stories and strikes hundreds of times.
I have seen a 50% drop off over the last 2 weeks and everyone says the same thing...not enough content ...too much grinding...too many glitches.
I know the desticles will come out in full force with their "good the game will get better when all you scrubs quit" well have fun with your dust bunnies and crickets while everyone else gets back to gaming for fun.
Edit. I never expected so many replies...crazy good guys...also so surprising that it was only a couple (that I've read so far ) giving me shit.
I never once said I didn't get my money's worth nor that I now dislike the game ..just simply what's stated here.
Edit 2. The 50% number and everyone is relating to my friends list (which I assumed was obvious as I can't talk to every guardian in the world)
Edit 3. Wow! So many replies and actually alot of agreement. Most people seem to be in the same boat as me...we absolutely love this game, we just want it to be the best game it can be. We are definitely in need of some new crucible modes...like swat...and a Co op firefight mode would be amazing
Edit 4. Title changed to a question because that's really what my intention was. I saw a trend among my friends (I know that's a small sample size ) and I was curious if it was widespread after talking with employees at 3 of my local gamestops who said they've seen an influx of destiny returns this week.

Notably most of us love this game and really hope for some more meaty content with next DLC...I bet almost all of us here just want that!

Over 1000! Holy shit...so obviously it's not just my friends...this is pretty widespread it seems. Maybe Bungie will do something now, because talking to them didn't work...if this really is that common, bungie already knows without reading in these forums.

I pretty much quit after I saw how much content was in TDB. I was burning out before then, hoping the expansion would revitalize my desire to play. Then after I realized they only added about 6-10 rooms to the entire game (the raid was pretty badass the first couple times), Destiny has been done for me.

Yeah getting pretty over it aye. I've been stuck at level 31 for like a month cuz raid boots don't exist and it sucks doing the same shit every reset for nothing.

Destiny as we know it is all of a huge Beta for bungie. Destiny 2 shall be the thing.

I feel this is like a weekly thing for me Every week, I do the weekly, nightfall and raid and I'm done for the week. Maybe play some crucible or vanguard if I really want to buy something from the vendors

i'm just burnt out on video games, period....after iron banner concluded, i decided to take a little break from destiny...i figured it was just burnt out on it...so i decided to play through Reach...and i completed it, though it wasn't as easy to do, as i thought it would be...i almost had to force myself to play....so i finished that, and decided a day or so later, that i was gonna replay ODST....and i started it, got about half way through, and something happened, and i needed to stop....and i didn't pick it back up...that was, i think, something like a week ago.. i just don't feel like playing anything. i've got a ton of games to play, and i don't wanna play any of them.....

I still play but I can see what your talking about. The only reason I'm not in that boat is cause I'm a casual player so I still have exotics to collect and such. I'm really hoping this doesn't happen to me since I don't really have any other games.

i used to play this game religiously. i would -blam!-ing dream about this game in my sleep. if i wasn't on destiny, i was thinking about it or talking about it. i knew the game had flaws but i looked past them. one day it just kinda hit me, i wasn't enjoying the time i put in anymore... all of my friends still play (some slowly burning out) and i get on to do nightfalls and get off. i'm hopeful that HoW will rekindle my love for it. sidenote: got my gjally about two weeks ago and didn't even bat an eye... i knew the fatigue had set in :\

Yeah it is most of my friends moved on and I realised this wk that I have not played in over two wks and I was in every day for hours. Just got tired I'll prolly b back with new dlc but I've had enough I guess cause I quit and havnt been back. I stay on forums waiting to c what xur will sell and updates to c if any changes or additions that'll make me want to play guess ill stay with dying light and Diablo

Yea its bound to happen. I "quit" for now, just don't care knowing anything that drops will be useless in a month but like 3 exotics I need but I have nothing but time, and xur will prob eventually just sell them anyways. Giving dark souls a spin any tips would be great! Having some trouble haha.

I'm pretty spent on it and I've only been playing 2 months. Maybe I'll do the nightfall and a raid this week. If I ever get a SUROS or Vex I'll probably just play pvp until HOW releases.

Ive been feeling burnt out for a while but recently met a great bunch of people who I tend to play with daily. If they arent on though I have zero interest in doing anything. Ill be picking up dying light and dbz xenoverse this month though which will give me a break until dlc rocks up.

Managed to do nightfall and that's it. Got enough coins to buy monte or Suros, thier the only 2 I want but I'm done grinding brain numbing shit to get them. Rip destiny.
