If Xur isn't going to sell it there needs to be another way that doesn't cost 950 glimmer for 1.
1.Lower the price of heavy ammo from the gunsmith.
2.Raise the glimmer cap
3. Allow us to store ammo that drops from enemies.
4. Make a Gjallarbreaker
5. Increase heavy ammo drops.
6. Have crucible and vanguard vendors sell heavy ammo. Out worthless marks could be put to good use.
7. Have the gunsmith accept ascendant shards as currency.
Please Bungie, lessen the grind in some way.
Edit: I love how people latch onto one word so I've changed the title name. Nearly every thread this morning was about heavy ammo. That was the crisis I was referring to.

1 ReplyHeavy ammo is fine.
-
Number 6 is a brilliant idea
-
4 RepliesCrisis? How is it a crisis? Go farm glimmer, wax and buy that shit. Use the many glitches and gun perk tricks. Games are meant to be challenging which in turn should make them more enjoyable.
-
15 RepliesIt's not a crisis at all. 9/11 was a crisis. The earthquake in Haiti was a crisis. Ppl are crying because a video game takes away their fake ammo. Just put a titty in their mouth and they'll be fine.
-
1 ReplyAll the first tier shards and energy should be usable as a currency.
-
1 Reply5 Heavy synths for 5-10 marks sounds good to me.
-
4 RepliesThe easier fix would probably be to fix the glitch where you lose heavy from dying, even after popping a new consumable.
-
1 ReplyGjallarbreaker....LOL. Well played sir, that would be awesome. I know it doesn't exist but I call for a nerf right now !!! LOL
-
1 ReplyBungie hears ya, Bungie don't care

Gjallarbreaker... *Heavy Breathing*

5 RepliesIt's hardly a crisis, would it be nice to have more heavy drops or have xur sell it more regularly sure but it's hardly a hindrance to gameplay.
-
6 RepliesEdited by ZeroKuhl: 1/30/2015 4:39:43 PMIf you need to rely on heavy heavy ammo synthesis you are not playing the game as intended.
You are playing it smarter.
-
3 RepliesPeople who say this isnt a problem, dont have a ghorn. When its the exotic you run all the time, you run out if synthesis quickly.
-
4 RepliesJust get the corrective measure from gatekeeper in VoG and upgrade to surplus. Won't always drop heavy but increases drop chance. Problem solved. Equip it when you want heavy to drop (IE. Crystal room for crota encounter) kill everything, hope heavy drops, if it does switch to desired heavy weapon and pick it up. Problem solution solved.
-
1 ReplyJust how much heavy does everyone use? In VoG I usually go with VoC, IB, and a void HMG Crota is Abyss, Black Hammer, Gjallahorn Since Gjallahorn seems to have a bad habit of exploding in my face I only use it for Crota himself, on a good run it takes 2 synths assuming you are full at the start of his stage. The first when you run back in the room when he moves to the right, the 2nd after the ogres. Granted I try to just play through the raid once a week with each of my characters, which often doesn't happen with HM, but you don't "need" a lot of synths.
-
Lol crisis? It's not like the gunsmith is raising his prices because of supply and demand needs. Farm glimmer and buy some if you really need it that bad.
-
7 RepliesWhat exactly does raising the glimmer cap do? Sure you'll be able to buy more than 25 synths at one time now but why? It would still cost the same. I can barely keep 2k in my inventory how can anyone keep more than 25k
-
#2 seems like it would be incredibly easy... Replace the current value in the code that limits glimmer storage from 25k to something higher...
-
500 for one would be much better
-
Hahahaha I love it...ascendents shards for heavy. Yes!
-
I'll even be good at 500 glimmer a pop. That way I can at least get 40 for 20k glimmer
-
I'd be okay buying heavy with my ascendent shards. God knows those things don't serve a purpose anymore.
-
6 RepliesWhat about buying them from Eris for Black Wax Idols?
-
I love ideas 6 and 7
-
5 RepliesAbout number 5 you know you can force heavy ammo to drop right. And it's pretty easy to do.
