Find a medium, a happy one. Youre a good provider, but dont forget that theres another role you need to play. Consider how she feels and make a compromise. 2 full game days and the rest of the week is for you both, date or movie etc. Unless youre not happy with her, then the other option is be single and have complete control what you do with your time

She just wants to be let in. She probably doesn't think it's healthy your plugging 7 hours every night into a game.

Not wrong or right you need to make time for both losing her will just make PTSD way worse just watch what you do but I agree you do have the right to play destiny if your putting food on table and everything

All seriousness though, if op is true than gaming this long isn't helping. You need a physical social environment and proper physical connection to help. You're only secluding yourself from where you should be and telling yourself it's a good thing. And lastely, look at her position and see the coin from the other side before thinking about everything you do for HER... it might help change your perspectives. .

1 ReplyI don't think it's right or wrong bro I know what you're going through. Everybody has their own way to cope and playin destiny is a great way to keep your mind busy and get away. Now 7 hours might be a little extreme but to each their own. I play a lot to get away I play for prolly 2 or 3 hours a day

Communication. Just talk to her calmly about how ya feel. Obviously she has been thru some shit with you and your ptsd and alcohol use, just try to help her understand why you are acting the way you are. Why you enjoy gaming and how it helps you. Stay calm. Understand her feelings too. Your a team

Everybody has to have a hobby. If you don't have something to do you will either flip shit or go back to drinking. I don't know what kind of resources you have access to but they are out there if you need to talk to someone.
