Which are better? I just rolled the claws of ahamkara off of xur's engram, and given that I like the idea of using solar grenades better, I think I'll stick to the claws over buying Xur's current offering (I'm going to delete a hunter to make a warlock in the near future I think). Thoughts?
Edit: and what about firebolt?
Update: looks like fusion is the clear winner :)

I like fire bolts with praxic cause you can spam them and they almost always hit something.
-
Fusion Grenades are best for dealing damage hands down, but the Fusion Grenades are wonderful for controlling an area. For example, tossing Fusion Grenades around the lamps in Crota's End does a wonderful job of keeping the Thralls at bay.
-
If you have starfire protocol and the perk that gives you a second grenade, you can spam fusion granades

1 ReplyEdited by Striker93175: 2/2/2015 7:53:58 PM100% discipline with a heart of paraxic using radiant skin and whatever the perk is that makes radience last longer... A full volley of fusion on a boss is KILLER damage. If not on a boss... You get a grenade you get a grenade you get a grenade EVERYONE gets a grenade!

1 ReplyBolt sucks. Solar for organizing enemy's or blocking locations. Abyss solar is great. Fusion for kills pvp and focused high dmg
-
Fusion def better than solar, but for PvP I prefer firebolt
-
I typically use fusion grenades for PvE for maximum damage, and solar in PVP for area of denial.
-
Very situational. For instance, Crota's End, Solar for lamps (melt thralls/provide safe areas to recover in), fusions for swordbearers, solar for deathsinger (provides area denial to knight melee attacks), fusion w/super for crota (orbs from knights and swordbearer). Firebolt is a grenade that IMO is for people who can't aim grenades consistently, similar to axion bolt and the hunter lightning grenade. If you have trouble hitting people with grenades fire/axion bolt can be great in pvp but have lower total damage potential than the other options and you lose the big single target damage of a sticky and the aoe potential of solar.
-
2 RepliesBe better and use Axion Bolt. It really is the best made in the game. Don't forget bloom :)
-
6 RepliesRegardless, void walker is the more fun to use. STOP IT, if you die a lot I can see how sunsinger would be useful for you. But void walkers will shut. You. Down.
-
If you can hit the target, fusion. Solar is okay. Firebolt if you can't hit shit and want instant damage
-
Solar
-
Fusion hits the hardest, but requires aiming Solar scares mobs enough to keep them from running at you and causes headaches in pvp Fire bolt needs a buff, hit a bunch of targets but has little stopping power
-
From dying to them so often I'd have to say Fusion grenades hands down unless wearing Sunbreakers.
-
Fire bolt is a waste. Fusion is a killing machine and solar is amazing at holding enemies back and can do some pretty good damage
-
2 RepliesI like firebolt grenades because you dont need to aim.
-
When eliminating targets in public events, Radiance plus several sticky fusion grenades really softens the target.
-
fusion does more damage and you can stick enemies with them. I only use solar occasionally during nightfall solar burn for over time damage or CE to push thralls back. but over all fusion is much more powerful just learn how to use it and stick it. gift of the sun and radiance. make it rain!
-
Fusion for board or majors. Solar for pushing things off the map
-
Fusion

Fusion. Great damage in pve and tracking sticking in pvp also one hit kill
-
Fusion master race
-
Fusion
-
Solar is good for position control, fusion is better for dps
-
1 ReplyFusion. Always.

Solar is fantastic for lamps and certain PvP situations. Firebolt is wonderful for strikes. Fusion for the rest.
